It finally dawned on me what laviolette reminds me of...a bulldog. Sorry, mods, but that's what I see when I look at her.

So JA is now the authority on what constitutes greatness in a person.

  • #683
Wow, Jodi is really eyeing the jury today - looking for her next victim.. She makes me sick.

  • #684
Hopefulness=disillusionment

  • #685
LOL, she did not walk in... She was stalking him and saw him with another woman.

  • #686
there you have it, "she walked in and saw him making out with someone else"

did jodi forget to mention she was peeping in his window???

  • #687
Walked in? Is that a different way of saying she broke in?

  • #688
Welcome to the 21st century ALV, sometimes people see more than one person.

  • #689
You mean JA was carrying on as though there was a relationship.

  • #690
Did ALV have access to any of TRAVIS's journals?

  • #691
This testimony is getting to me... I have a sudden urge to stand on my head...seriously... lol

  • #692
I sure would like to see TA's journals.

There's less of a difference in the height of the chairs now too. I think JA has put hers up a bit and JW down. Now JA stop puffing your chest up. We know how big your fake 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 are and the jurors don't want to see them either :seeya:

This testimony is so yawningly predictable and banal that I've noticed that the DT trio are not colour co-ordinated today. Hmmm....

As freaking annoying as ALV is, there are too many instances where the jury has got to be thinking, "Jodi could have just left. She could have just said enough and walked away".

Please doG, let them be thinking that.

Journal entry Aug 2, 2007 . . . .Wilmott and ALV on the stand

JA greatly loves TA when she is relying on his potential for greatness, hanging onto that - she loves him - wishes she didn't but she does . . . certainly speaks of hopefulness. . . on the DV continuum . . . the hope of seeing things better

she is doing what a lot people do . . . look back @ beginning relationship all the positive things and it can be that way in the future.

JA walked inand saw him on the couch with another women and JA left. . . they had "allegedly" broken up . . .. journal entry indicates they were still carrying on as if they had a relationship.

JA talks to TA the next day - he gets upset and he says he wants to F'ing . .

objection
approach

Why does she keep saying specifics about Travis "he was this, he was that", "he said f'in"

I thought she was only allowed to give her experience from generalities?

  • #697
She "saw TA making out with another woman and left". I think she left out the part where she went into the backyard and was peeking through the windows like a stalker.

I think they hammer away at it because it's BS. That is, I think the defense is trying to show how this Law of Attraction, which is a form of magical thinking, kept Arias from thinking rationally about her situation/relationship and prevented her, emotionally, from moving away from Travis.

Alyce is criticizing the Law of Attraction and is discussing how it's a form of psychological control. She said something like "it negates the impact one person has on another." So, if you believe that you have full control of your life by thinking the "right" thoughts, you're more apt to blame yourself when people hurt you, than to remove yourself from the company of the the people who hurt you. I think that the defense is trying expose how the Law of Attraction was used as a tool of emotional abuse.

I don't think this is helping Arias' case, but I do agree with this criticism in general.

It isn't even close to magical thinking....but my guess is that they are taking the concept of when you have negative things going on you need to remove the negative thing, be it thinking...actions...or murdering a former lover because that was "too negative." :facepalm:oy vey. This is giving me PTSD flashbacks of her constantly talking while she was on the stand....

Just got in from the hospital.....CANNOT believe Willmott is still questioning ALV. I naively thought Juan might have been up today

True, I agree she prepared better than Dr S. but my opinion is that she wrote a script with that report. Again, just my opinion - no flaming intended.

She has probably been giving the same speech for years. Revised version. This will be insulting to the men on the jury.
