I agree, and it makes ALV's testimony all the more offensive. Not to mention the wearing of DV ribbons by mom & aunt ~ now that we know the Arias family KNEW Jodi was becoming more & more psychotic in the year before the murder.

Mr. & Mrs. Arias both just said so. How they can stand by and watch her mount this defense & slander Travis in death is absolutely beyond me.

Maybe they were wearing the ribbons because they have been abused?

I have always felt that was a defense team tactic. It's my feeling the family wants her to have LWOP so they can feel safe. MOO

I don't know why they didn't testify for the DT. They may testify during the penalty phase though?

ETA: couldn't pay me enough either if it was my daughter. LOL

There may not be anything relevant to the defense CIC for the parents to testify about. They weren't there when JA killed Travis, and there hasn't been anything offered into evidence that they had enough knowledge of the relationship between JA and Travis in order to offer anything of value. JA wasn't living with her parents either before or after Travis' murder.

That's what I'm curious about too. Jodie said her parents didnt have alot of money. I wonder how are they affording lodging?
I highly doubt anyone's opened up their home to them. And since ebay is no longer displaying her art for sale. It's not cheap living in a hotel,including meals.

Could be those expenses are on the DT's accounts that they fought to have sealed.

PHOENIX - Tuesday may not have been the first time Juror #5 in the trial of Jodi Arias has been accused of improper conduct.

In court records, we found a transcript of a phone call made to Judge Sherry Stephen&#8217;s division phone at 8:36 a.m. on February 23.

According to the transcript, the caller claims there are reports that the juror needs to be watched.

&#8220;The one with multi-colored hair is attempting to coach Arias from the jury box. She shakes her head no, no, no to tell Jodi not to answer a question,&#8221; the caller alleged in the message on Stephens' voicemail.

I saw her giving ALV a look that could kill today. If I could remember the questioning at the time I would try to find it. It was a Charles Manson type look. Scary!!

The judge instructed them not to put their names, etc on them

I seem to remember a day when several people commented that #5 shook her head no in response to something Jodi said on the stand that directly contradicted something said elsewhere. My gut tells me this was the same day.

I don't judge her mother so harshly. As someone who has first hand experience raising a child with significant "issues" I can attest to how there comes a time when you just want to throw your hands in the air and say "enough". It traumatizes everyone in the house, and you grow weary of everyone that has to live in that toxic atmosphere moving through life like the walking wounded. It's hard, and not something I can judge another person on because I've been there.

They didn't have a lot of money obviously, and couldn't afford expensive psychiatric help with what they went through. And to tell the truth, I don't think there's a darn thing they could have done to change what this defendant is anyway. No cure for what ails her, so what were they supposed to do? I would have been glad to be shut of her too.

It's really suspicious that someone would call the judge and try to say that this woman should be watched because she was biased towards the defense THEN she was booted for making a remark supporting the prosecution.
