It's one thing to be an expert witness and testify in generalities - especially regarding an Olympic Gold Medal liar. That's what she's paid to do and what she did the first day or so. However, the public's ire gets up when she tries to specify that this case is "abuse" based on any information she has from the defendant. It's like repeating a rumor only she should know better because her authority gives it more weight.
It reminds me of the hijinks that almost went on in the Anthony trial when they tried to sneak psychiatric experts to testify based on her allegations (particularly when some didn't interview her or were simply basing their opinion on her story). That didn't fly - I can't remember if the expert witnesses recused themselves or if the judge just didn't allow it. I'd hate to stake my reputation as an expert on something as specious as this. I remember the blowback Andrea Lyon got for taking the DP on and she did the same thing - it's one thing to have a legitimate agenda and another to muck it up by using a courtroom as a forum and making it specific by associating with really, really questionable company. I'll bet ALV will be wishing pretty soon - if she isn't already - that she had picked a smarter venue for her campaign against domestic abuse. Nurmi too. He's taken the field of "sex crimes" back years by trying to put Victim Lipstick on this abusive and deviant little piglet.

I wonder if, in her arrogance, she will see the problem with defining everything, and I mean everything as abusive. If everything is abuse, then nothing is abuse. She basically described every relationship in history as abusive. She's set her own cause back and made a laughing stock of herself.

OMG ... she really has a thing for "pens" -- I think that since she can't have a "knife" in prison, this is her "substitute" for knives !


She had in her possession:

2 bottles of "unauthorized" anti-fungal cream

2 bottles of "unauthorized" acne cream

2 bottles of something else unauthorized ...

Not surprised at all by her behavior !

As backwards as the DT seems to see everything, I'm sure that they would perceive an involuntary "no way" shaking of the head as an attempt to throw Jodi or the other jurors off. I've done that no way headshake many times myself since watching this trial.

I agree. I think the person who made the call made a total mistake. I think the juror #5 probably was just involuntarily reacting to Jodis lying answers, and the juror was probably involuntarily shaking her head NO in disbelief.

The caller took it wrong as he or she was thinking the juror was trying to coach Jodi.

DT was very happy that she had been removed. Katie Wick said #5 was the one who submitted the most jury questions, was always alert, taking notes.

Now, that said, no juror at this should have made up their mind, but if they have, I'd rather see them pro-PT.

I understand the acne cream--she does appear to me to have a complexion that might give her trouble, and she also strikes me as very vain. She wouldn't want to have any blemishes while wearing her librarian costume.

Does anyone know if Travis's family receives any financial help to come to the trial everyday? That has to be hard leaving your job that long plus your normal life for this long! I admire them. My heart broke for his family today...sad to see his sisters cry!! Then Jodi smirk that..smile.. made me sick!!!

There are a couple of donation sites. I don't know how much help they're getting from Travis' friends, the family, the church.

Something I just cannot understand. This jury is NOT SEQUESTERED. So, they meander out of the courtroom for lunch and there is a woman out there dressed up in a freekin' bunny suit. She has a sign up that says something related to a boiled bunny...Anyone who has ever seen "Fatal Attraction" and has a brain cell in their head will understand the message...And the judge lets them (the jurors) go out and see this. F&&*&*& JM signing a freekin' cane! The jurors go out the front door to smoke a cigarette/eat ice cream/pick their noses and see the lady in the bunny outfit???? WTF????

It's weird for sure but bunny is not part of the trial. JM is. I totally think he was just being nice but I wished he'd simply replied that he wouldn't be talking to anyone until after the trial.
