Wow it really never ends does it?

I am zoned out as the testimony drones on, largely not listening. Once in a while I drift back in, and it feels like I'm going backwards in the time machine. Or got stuck in the moment and must suffer listening to the same words and dynamics over and over again.

I think the DT's strategy is to brainwash the jury through endless repetition. Or cause a mistrial when someone finally snaps.

Sorry if this has been posted before - kind of in a rush. Can anyone point me to a thread that has the full interrogation interviews of the killer's parents. I checked the timeline thread but could only find the snippet that they played on Dr. Drew last night.

TIA (smile)

No surprise JA has hair back today. She wants the jury to see she's "upset." I can imagine she probably used to have to Google feelings like upset to see what people's actions were so she can copy them.

Now I'm envisioning the pain level chart I sometimes see at medical facilities so that the medical personnel can try to gauge pain level based on the expression on the patient's face (particularly helpful with dementia patients or others who cannot communicate their symptoms effectively). The chart shows a cartoon face with various expressions of pain.

based on AVL's testimony, when my hubby says he does not want to go to the 7/11 to get me a slurpie he is abusive because:

he is isolating me
he has the power and is using it to take away something of comfort
he is depriving me to keep me in control
he has guilt of saying no and therefore anger and therefore violence and therefore an abuser

Can not wait to tell him all this next time he says no lol

Mine would not dare to say no, he'd be scared i'd slit his throat and stuff him in the shower.

One reason Jodi felt better in late Feb. 08 was because via the tire-slashings, "You're a shamelss 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" email, and date-stalking, Jodi had finally driven Lisa to break up with Travis.

Wait a minute, it's okay for her to be upset when she calls TA and he doesn't call her back but not okay for him?

This is so ridiculous.

Being unable to handle listening to the drivel coming from Ms Alyce for the past several days of trial, I decided to see what I could find online about her. Specifically, I wanted to see what her formal education has been.

Interesting. Very interesting. And easy to see where Juan will go.

Alyce has a 20 page CV posted online at her own website. It is obviously not professionally produced, since there are errors in the formatting of the document that one does not see in a professionally done CV.

Alyce's entire "Education" section consists of five (5) lines in her twenty (20) page CV. Her highest level of education was a Master's Degree obtained in 1980. Two of the five lines devoted to "Education" refer to licensing in California - which is not quite education, is it?

What I don't see listed is any Continuing Education. At all.

There are pages and pages of "media appearances". There are pages of "court consultations". And pages of seminars and conferences. In all of which Ms. Alyce seems to have been in the postion of "being the expert" or "being the teacher".

All of which is fine. But WHERE, I wonder, is there any indication whatsoever that this woman has formally updated her knowledge since obtaining that degree in 1980? Most of us in the professions attend conferences and continuing education presentations to learn from others. And we would list such on a CV under "Education" or "Continuing Education". I see no such listing on this 20 page document.

What I do see is what looks like someone who must really enjoy public speaking as an "domestic violence expert" and who speaks to just about any group that needs a public speaker for a meeting.

In this trial, this witness continues to use what is in my opinion inappropriate and unprofessional terminology and phrases. The "must be on crack" comment was so far from appropriate for a professional that it made me cringe. But I guess in a way it is good that she says such things, because it really, really undercuts her credibility.

I'll begin to watch again when Juan gets up. I think he has fertile ground for his cross examination skills with Alyce. And I don't think she is going to like it.

Oh, wow, so mom says mother-daughter relationship has improved since the murder!

Does this woman truly not get it that Travis was the one being abused? Does she truly, with her background, not see that Jodi was the aggressor? Does she truly not know that most of this journal crap was written after Jodi killed Travis. The woman obviously would know a sociopath if she slapped her in the face.

I'm thinking this has to be very confusing for the jury - it's confusing for me - to hear this woman testify as if she was an eye-witness to these events - one has to be continuously mindful that it's all one-sided. Even the emails from TA can be read out of context. How on earth can any of this be considered factual?

but...

this is carbon copy of Arias' variation in her direct testimony and there is nothing new at all in what this expert is saying... and Juan has already debunked 75% of it or better (Arias' variation).

Thusly, it is testimony based on falsehoods and easier to throw out in its entirety during deliberations (moo of course):twocents:

So a woman who is being abused by a man who is not her boyfriend is so afraid and can't leave or stand her ground, but she signs up for online dating...

Okay.

She did take pictures of the Hoover Dam we saw them. :D

I think Jodi's on some kind of barbiturate today. The peanut-butter mouth thing is probably from dry mouth, which is a common side effect of those drugs. She is definitely "floaty" in appearance, slow-lidded, and much slower overall in mannerism and movement. :cow:

I was gonna comment earlier and say it looks like she met a peace pipe but then I worried if that was just me

"What about this lie of Jodi's is important to you in backing up her story?"

"She's de-edifying..."

OMG!! She gave up taking pictures of Hoover Dam for Travis. So she could get home to Travis sooner? Seriously? BFD!!!

This is getting more and more ridiculous by the moment. Wilmott - you are just trying too, too hard. You are becoming more transparent by the moment.
