Yes she did. At first it made me dislike her intently. Then I began to ponder whether Nurmi is behind that little ploy....after all, he defends child molestors!

I have zero doubt that when ALV leaves she is given/shown a plethora of info on this trial from previous days/weeks. I believe she NOW knows what she faces with Juan and I have no doubt she is literally sick over it. That kind of anxiety/stress can cause physical symptoms.

It is also possible that this morning the DT decided to go a different route and didn't have time to prepare her so they pre-planned when they would pull this BS off; thus the reason we saw zero indication from ALV that she was trying to tell the DT she was sick.

Last week I wrote that ALV was being unmasked. Today the above thought crossed my mind, after she lied and her fiercely dogmatic stance, that there was something in it for her. Perhaps a narcissist.

It fits with her overstuffed CV and her lack of continuing education. She's just a good networker. It fits with her hubristic know-it-allness, as if a sermon from the mount, and her lack of discomfort in destroying Travis' reputation and in front of his family. She's very godlike on the stand. And she is a liar. And a complete fraud.

Every SINGLE WORD of this is so good!!

Thank you, I couldn't agree more. Let's hope Juan is able to expose her for the fraud she is to the jury ~ maybe even point out her lack of continuing education after 1980. Not even a seminar ~ in a 20 page CV, nothing.

I'm coming around to the opinion that Samuels hates her job. Every time she has the slightest reason to stop for the day she does.

I cannot believe she didn't take the witness aside or into chambers and find out exactly what was wrong and why it coulnd't be fixed. Just takes her word for it so she can quit for the day. I find that amazing and as unprofessional as Wilmot's syntax problems and stripper shoes.

And if this is a DT ploy to manipulate the jury, boy are they off base. I bet jurors no longer think about the trial at all once they leave, much less ruminate about poor Jodi and her abuse. If it was me it would be "another 4 hours, another pack o' lies, another freaking drive home, is the laundry done, what's for dinner, is there a new Game of Thrones on......"

Do you mean Judge Stephens? Yes, I think she hates every minute. It shows.

ALV and JA maintain that there's something wrong, abnormal -- even abusive -- about TA not wanting to openly and publicly display their relationship status.

Yet, they also say that JA withholds details from her journal. However, JA writes therein that it's a good thing her journals are private and no one can read them because she loves Travis Alexander.

She doesn't want anyone else to know this, right?

Judge's name is Stephens, not Samuels. I agree with your post.

That is true, I guess it is 18 in some states and not 21.

Add to that, she moved out of their home when she was 15, that is likely when she killed their dog !!!

And they didn't make her come home. They we're still liable for her till she was eighteen, but let her go off and live with a vampire and his grandparents.

I can't possibly read all posts or threads here BUT:

Has anyone else noticed that last Thursday in court, Jodi's Mom's twin sister was leaning away from Jodi's Mom, she was crying and an older woman had her arm around the Twin Aunt? Since that day, the Twin Aunt has NOT been in court?

Wonder if there was a falling out between the twin sisters?

I think the fact that Jodi ending up in her grandparents' home is very telling. I bet Mom and Dad did everything they could to control her behaviour (thinking back to Dad catching her in the store parking lot instead of school). I just think she was an uncontrollable, horrible teen and they were probably relieved when she moved out at 18 (?) and had no intentions of ever letting her back in. You can only do so much if you have a wayward child and yes, I do believe they are and were frightened of what she is/was capable of.

Moved out at fifteen I think. Anyway, sure they were delighted.:seeya:
