Sorry if this has been asked, but does anyone think the fact that the booting of juror #5, who was known to submit many questions, has intimidated remaining jurors into not submitting questions? Or are they simply going to ignore ALV and, hence, do not NEED to ask any questions?

I don't think they are intimidated, imo they just have heard it all before. JA told her story, then Doc S and now ALV. The only difference is ALV adds "yes that was abusive".

I expect there may be more questions when she actually addresses the murder, attempted coverup and behavior following the crime and uses the alleged DV to attempt to explain JA's actions.

mainstream media, I believe.

We really need an abbreviation thread, maybe in the sidebar thread. This place can be confusing sometimes, especially for new comers lol

Yes we do. I live in a cave remember?

The clips I viewed did not include the bolded information... Do you have links to these videos? Much appreciated if you could link the information as I would like to view... :seeya:

It was on HLN yesterday. The only clips I see on youtube are 1min 2seconds long, and don't have the part I'm refering to. I'm going to look a little bit more though.

Did anyone else think that JM was the one who really did seem to be battling some sort of illness yesterday? He was very quiet and the few times I saw the camera on him while he was seated at his table I thought he looked like I feel when I have the achey flu.

From what I understand he has more than one trial going on, not sure if they are more murder/homicide trials or not.

I would expect that he has to be TIRED. I can't imagine the volume of information and keeping the facts straight from case to case. Its really got to be hard. The stress of making sure that you don't have a mistrial has to be felt by everyone. And Nurmi/Wilmot are playing all their cards. TA's family has to be feeling at the bottom of how much more they can take. I know that they understand what was going to come out, but goodness...its crazy. I am hoping that JM has assured them that the DT can spin it anyway they want but once it hits cross, he will spin it differently for the jury. That must be a hope for them.

Or perhaps they are passively/aggressively showing their displeasure at #5 being booted?

I watch some of ALV yesterday and honestly she seemed just fine. I think it is another ploy to buy time, that is why I am wondering how there can be a mistrial if she does not come back???
After all this time and $$$$$ there just can't be!!!!!:furious:

I watched those minutes again, and just to be fair, she looked uncomfortable right before the break. If it is IBS, you can be fine one moment and the next moment be standing there wishing the ground would open and swallow you whole. I used to have it, really don't anymore, but if I still did, you couldn't pay me enough to sit on a witness seat "just in case".

Go to the Uninterrupted Video thread. I've posted the link and the transcript there.

I don't have the link, but someone posted on another site the content below. Hopefully someone will have the actual link if there is more to the statement.

In the past few days I have been a part of discussion and interest in the murder trial case of Jodi Arias. For the past three months I have been fulfilling my duty as one of the jurors in the case of Jodi Arias. Jodi Arias’ attorneys have filed a motion asking for a mistrial or that Juror 5 is removed from the jury, which led to my removal.

As a juror that has been removed from the jury, I would like to remind everyone that the murder trial case of Jodi Arias is still going on and that the time and money being invested in this trial are more relevant and important than my removal from the jury.

Until the verdict in murder trial case of Jodi Arias is reached I will not make any statements or give any interviews regarding my removal from the jury. I believe that the attention should be focused on the actual trial. I would ask from everyone to please respect my privacy and the privacy of my family.

Yes. I hope they do not feel obligated to ask questions. I'd like to see the look on their faces when the verdict is read out.

It may be a ploy, I just don't know. What I suspect is this may well be totally on Ms. LaViolette. One thing I have noticed is she does not look at the jury as often or as long as she did when she began. I saw a post, maybe KCL, where the jurors don't seem to be engaged with her, looking away, writting, spinning pens on pads and so on. Based on the objections JM has made, they are not lost on this woman (nor the jury). The objections are timely and strongly suggest the liar is the source of the hearsey and the witness is lacking in reality.

She has been semi grilled before by JM - this is the whole boiled frog and he is going to go after it with anger after all the things she has accused Travis of based on the lies of a murderess and her own refusal to be objective. They are up to March - the time is coming and she is going to have to face JM. JMO she is definitely going to lose that battle.

But if they are intimidated, that does not bode well for Jodi.
Oh well, too bad.

I would think the defense team told her to change the story. When asked about it yesterday she said she had misspoken. Funny that is the same word Samuels used several times when he was floundering on the stand.

JA was examined by Demartino I believe. Is this the story she told her..that he was looking at images on her computer? I remember Juan bringing her name up and Wilmont did too. I think the defense is trying to discredit what Demartino was told.

Good point. I do believe that ALV lied on the stand yesterday about the pedophile incident bc originally this was the story Jodi was going with. I think Jodi changed this story after she realized that Travis' computer had been evaluated by experts and nothing had been found. For whatever reason, she didn't reach MM in time to change his "story" and hence the magazine fiasco.

In JA's dad's interview, she said she was going to file for bankruptcy. Not really a surprise!

Just another example of how JA is so much like that other young woman from Orlando. The coincidences are truly astounding. JMO

JA also tells Flores when he asks about her car, that it was returned to the bank. (And yet we're to believe she's lending the rising star of PPL money)

The more tapes I view of Jodi's parents and the new journals released and written by Jodi (watching HLN) the more I am convinced that Jodi was very delusional.

Chills...

I just read the exteded interview with Sandy, Jodi's mom.

When asked by police if she had any suspicion of her daughter in the murder, she said:

"I asked her, because that's the first thing I asked her.....I said, did you go to Arizona and she said no, I was nowhere near Arizona and I have gas receipts and everything to prove it."

THAT RIGHT THERE should be enough to show she deliberately planned the location of those gas receipts to specifically give the appearance of her not being in Arizona. And she could have never done that without the gas cans. And we now know she was in Arizona and that in the days following the murder she was already planting the seed of her alibi by offering up the tangible evidence she premeditated.

Think of it this way....SHE knew she was in Arizona, so the only reason she knew it was safe to offer up the alibi of the gas receipts was because SHE ALREADY KNEW that was what the gas receipts would prove - because she planned it that way.

A person taking a long trip would not remember every single gas station you stopped at and if you were faced with a traumatic situation shortly after that trip, there is no way you would make any definitive statements about where you had stopped for gas because that wouldn't be a detail with high priority relative to the tragedy- the ONLY way you could make that kind of definitive claim is if you already knew where you PLANNED to stop for gas in advance.

Frustrating - I don't know why Sandy's interview can't be used in court? If ALV can get up there and regurgitate Jodi's words, why can't her mother???

Maybe Judge Stephens should consider super sanitizing that courtroom?
