What am I missing?

Some WS'ers have much more respect for Sandy Arias than I ever will after watching her laugh through the Alexander family's misery.

She disgusts me on the Alexanders' behalf and my own.

I saw Sandy Arias on the interrogation tape and to me she looked more like Stephanie Lazarus than the woman who I see in court. Of course she was younger and was thinner then. Gotta wonder if the woman we see in court isn't on some heavy medication.:seeya:

It's not about respect, it's about compassion. I get where you're coming from and I agree that some of her behavior in court has been offensive, however, I still feel sorry for her and wonder if those behaviors are defensive mechanisms. No matter what you think of her, she is still a parent facing the prospect that the State of Arizona wants to put her child to death. None of us can know the contents of her mind as she sits there each day.

I'm starting to agree with you Schuby. And, I'm being sincere (not mean or snarky) when I say that I think that Sandy Arias is not a particularly....um...sophisticated person. As KCL observed, she seems a little simple and as much as I deplore the laughing, I can cut her some slack given her position.
