What's the red thingy that looks like a mini dust-buster on the court reporters' table?

  • #662
For those of you who have been wanting to watch the opening statements, HLN is airing them tomorrow from 1-4 pm EST.

Jodi smiling at Donavan - unbelievable!!!!!

  • #664
WHOA -- did Jodi just turn and "smile" at Donovan ?

That's what it looked like to me !

:moo:

Willmott is just so irritating the way she questions the witness. Her voice and demeanor is un-attorney-like, and she sounds high schoolish. JMO

How many times has HLN been inserted into this case now?

  • #667
ALV studding the texts while she's waiting. I thought she needed to tell them when she refers to them.

  • #668
Because the JUDGE allows it ... there is a Double Standard in her courtroom and it's unfair to Travis and his Family !

:furious:

I think the jury can see the difference in the 2 sides and surely it has to disgust them... All this will end up to bite the defense in the butt!:great:

JM is setting Alice up for a stressful day with all the objections.

Wonder if he is going to try and stop Wilma because he believes Alice isn't going to be 'available' for his cross and he is trying to nip this testabaloney pdq?

It does seem like most of her questions are leading, but JM does not object often because she will rephrase. So thanks to him for not delaying further.

Now RE stalking, the only way to know if there was stalking in a given time period is to have had GPS tracking on both of them, and see how close they got at all times.

Not something that's necessarily gonna be in text messages, diaries etc.

I'm telling you Donovan is up to no good. Jodi just turned around and locked eyes with her and smirked. Mark my words the two of them are up to something.

It seems like JW is winning all of these sidebar wars.

Juan will set that right . . .

Exactly! And, it underscores just how kind and special and great Travis was. Despite her crazy stalikng and all the other stuff, he is still so kind to her and so helpful. Travis had the patience of a saint and a heart of pure gold!

Any veteran trial watchers or legal professionals have a perspective on the preponderance of approaches Wilmott requests?

Is this a matter of a weak case, weak litigation skills, or perhaps a bit of both? Just seems she gets easily frazzled.

Kaufman Co. here! Today is the funeral for our DA and his wife....so sad.

Sorry....way OT :blushing:
Very sorry to hear about this. What a loss to your community.

Wilmott isn't even coming close to making sense today. What on Earth is the point of this

  • #678
Ok, serious observation here. If JW finishes her direct at the end of the day today then technically she should have finished at lunch today if ALV hadn't gotten sick right?

So if she ends today, just before the long weekend, could she have done that to keep JM from getting anything in before the weekend?

Sure, but really what difference does it make? :waitasec: If the jury is anything like anybody here, they know this will all turn around on her next week when Juan does cross.

I bet anyone that has ever emailed or texted Travis is watching the trial waiting for their name to be thrown under the bus!

Amusement as usual for Sandy...

I wonder if Sandy would be amused to watch her recorded Detective interviews where she says the murderer has mental problems.
