Sweet dreams my fellow sleuths. :offtobed: No :pillowfight2: now...

:pillowfight2: About right for the environment tonight.

I'm going to do some headstands, sing some songs, dig in the garbage some, and then go to bed.

Nay, I'll first read some Shakespeare or write a fairytale in my journal.

:offtobed:

This expert was PAID to try and FIND patterns of behavior to testify to for the defense.

If Travis had killed Jodi, and his attorneys hired ALV, she could have used the very same texts and emails, and found patterns of abuse BY JODI.

Precisely !!!!

Whether we think she is guilty or not guilty and by what degree, who thinks she should be in for life (let's not do the death question, some are opposed to anyone being put to death) to simplify who thinks she should stay in for life and if you don't do you think she should get out now and she should not be there... she should be in 10 yrs, 20?

She deserves the Death Penalty. That means she will at least be in prison for the rest of her life.

I was thinking about this this evening while driving and having time on my hands. Honestly, I can't imagine responding to someone who was speaking to me that way in any setting. I can honestly say that until he'd adjusted his tone, I wouldn't be answering the questions and I'd go to jail on a contempt charge if the court were so inclined to mark it with an exclamation point. There's just no excuse, imo.
Being in Court when there is a murder trial going on is not for everyone. IMO, it can be a scary place regardless of how the attorneys examine witnesses. My father was a criminal defense attorney and quite an imposing figure. His job was not to be "nice" to the witnesses. He sure did scare folks on the stand, but I have to say, he was amazing to watch.

IMO, the whole Travis/Jodi relationship was dysfunctional. But, you know what? There was absolutely no excuse for Jodi to stab, shoot and butcher Travis.

That's what this trial is about. Jodi CHOSE to commit this heinous crime against Travis.

Jodi ALWAYS went to Travis. He NEVER went to her.

Jodi CHOSE to go to Travis to murder him.

This little sideshow of ALV and 'abuse excuse' is revolting.

This trial and the defense are really bothering me.

I understand it is the defense's job to try their best and do everything within their abilities to defend their client, but to the point of slandering the victim? That is despicable. Jodi is some angel and Travis is to blame because he "abused" her? I have yet to see ANY shred of evidence pointing to this alleged abuse. Self defense somehow equals shooting a man and then stabbing him and slitting his throat? And photographing it? Travis's family and their ribbons are insulting but the Arias family can wear ribbons in honor of domestic violence victims? And JW is an absolute disgrace. Her behavior in the courtroom is astonishing. I've never seen such unprofessionalism, not even from Baez and Cheney Mason, who I abhor.

Who CARES if Juan comes off as aggressive? Is the jury going to ignore the facts of the case and acquit Jodi because Juan is fed up with the defense and their witnesses and their underhanded antics? It's almost like the defense knows they're going down so they want to make it as painful for the Alexander family as possible.

Why should the victim's family have to suffer so much? Haven't they suffered enough?? I'm so appalled. Thank goodness we have Juan to look forward to on Monday. We are one step closer to a verdict. Thank you Juan for being a voice for Travis. God be with the jury and help them see truth and justice for Travis.

And to whoever said they feel sorry for Juan's wife, why? Juan's wife is not on trial for murder. His wife isn't defending murderers or lying. How can anyone look down on a man who fights for justice with so much conviction? I'm sure his wife is proud, as she has every right to be.

Heck... I just know him from my tv and I am proud !

Sorry to bust your poll, Steph, but DP is the only punishment that fits.

And unless it's exacted swiftly, this one will most certainly kill again, probably while incarcerated.

I do understand your point, except you forgot the evidence of thousands of words in the form of texts, emails, audios, etc that were introduced and explained by the expert as domestic violence. She also explained why she thought that they were. It wasn't a few messages. It was hundreds of interactions over the entire 18 months. She was on the stand for 7 days.

The expert is looking for patterns of behavior that increase in intensity and frequency.

We heard him talking to her on that sex tape 3 weeks before June 4th. Did that sound like someone who was trying to get rid of her, being stalked, trying to get her out of his life? No, it didn't.

Something happened towards the end of May that made him very angry at her and maybe even fear her. But, I still don't know what that is.

IMO

And the expert that you seem to trust used cherry-picked correspondence to rationalize her explanation that he was abusive. As if he were the one on offense instead of defense. Knowing the details that we outside of the jury are privy to, how you can come to the conclusion that Travis was the aggressor in this situation is beyond my comprehension?

He was in a relationship with a manipulative sociopath. He responded in ways that, perhaps, he shouldn't have. He didn't break away from Jodi as cleanly as he should have.

I'm sure he would agree with that today if he were not slaughtered Jodi Arias and left to rot in a shower stall.

She did answer his question, --it was a catchy title--he just didn't want to hear the answer. He was hoping to impeach her with the title. He clearly hadn't watched her talk. Her talk was about gender roles and identification, not about whether Snow White was being abused by Prince Charming. And, her talk was given to professionals, not to the general public.

He was the one who missed the boat on that one, not her.

IMO

Yes, because being "catchy" is so critical to the sale of work product of DV pimps. Forget being honest. Let's make sure we have a salable product.

Juan Martinez will get JUSTICE FOR TRAVIS. Let us pray for justice for Travis.

BBM

Something happened in May that made her very angry at him -- angry enough to plan and execute his murder.

And we still know exactly what that was.

You mean Cancun. Yeah, I can see that, although I thought she found out about that earlier than the end of May. She knew about --was it Marie?--I've forgotten her name--way before the end of May.

But, something made him very angry at the end of May--text msgs--and also fearful-- he made comments to his friends about her then--if I don't show up one Sunday, etc

IMO

Life plus 100 yrs....no possibility of parole...plus hard labor..

Adding that I am really for the DP ...but you asked me to leave that one out so I obliged ...

Really? Tell us what she did. You can't. The judge granted a motion by the defense to dismiss her. The judge is a tad bit fearful of being appealed and caves pretty easily. Unless you know this woman committed misconduct as you allege you may want to be careful with public accusations about something none of us knows anything about. It's highly likely she commented on what a gross slob Nurmi was or something similar and they cried about it.

And time for bed-I feel like I've been hanging around under abridge tonight and it's a tad tiresome.

The juror was kicked off after the defense said she was talking to other jurors and couldn't be impartial. And the judge must have agreed with them because she is no longer a member of the jury.

How do we even know that TA was the author of all of these IM's or emails? Apparently, Jodi knew all of his passwords. The worst of these messages were sent around the same time she stole her granpa's gun. Maybe she sent herself these messages as well, just to show in court later on.

I don't doubt she manipulated alot & there's proof she had access to TA's accounts. She's twisted words, facts so why not write a 600 page journal?

I loved when JM asked ALV what were the bad things that Jodi wrote about herself in her journal and all the babbling about not having examples. ha ha She stumbled so bad. splat batman Her crime is getting easier to figure out with each day JM is up. You see her plot & plan very clearly.

Let's see now, the end of May.

What happened at the end of May?

Perhaps he was angry that she had stolen her own grandfather's .25 caliber.

But why would that frighten him?

She probably was both voices on the sex call also.
