I don't see how you can look at only someone's texts, emails, and other writings and think you know everything about them, especially people you never met. I don't get your logic molly.

I don't see how you think how ALV can know better than the person writing the emails and texts what their feelings were when writing it and what they meant. Lisa has already said Travis was great to her, but ALV was able to ascertain that he abused her based on an out of context email she sent in the heat of the moment.

You can see why basing all your opinions on these written conversations alone can be a dangerous thing. ASSumptions.

According to Jodi, this tirade was related to a phone call discussion involving his alleged pedophilia. Yeah, that was the reason given by Jodi.

Do you believe this established player and cheat who tried to get into the pants of almost every woman he dated was secretly a boy-oriented pedophile who sought out heterosexual relationships with adult women to make himself feel normal, which is what Jodi claimed on the stand?

If you buy that, then you should be asking yourself where are the text messages to little boys or any other such evidence that could corroborate not only this homosexual pedophilia but also her assertion that what sparked the May 26th tirade was a heated discussion on this pedophilia.

I had to go out and missed Juans cross. I just finished watching it on you tube but it ended with a sidebar. Was there anything after the sidebar or was that the end of court today?
I noticed AVL has been coached on how to deal with Juans questioning and I also noticed that JA mouth something on at least two occasions. Does anyone know what she said?

Don't assume ALV knows. IIRC, she testified that she did not have knowledge of the precipitating event and thus it was out of context.

Proof please about your assumptions re psychopaths and the other bolded point. I can't wait to see how she accessed real time conversations between a woman she interviewed from behind glass and a dead man but please by all means provide your proof. :fence:

Again for the record, ALV practically ignored the brutal butchering of Travis because she's a defense witness and the DT does not want the jury hearing any more of that horrible reality than is absolutely necessary.

Ridiculous. If she were truly innocent she would be telling the truth to, you know, save her life. Her story about him having the gun in his closet was a terrible lie and there is no reason for her to claim that as opposed to your version, if your version were true.

1. He kept a gun in his closet that only she knew about
2. She was in fear for her life, so she ran to the closet where the gun was even tho TA had quicker access to it thru the bathroom and wanted to kill her.
3. She believed the gun was unloaded but that pointing it at the person who would know it was unloaded would stop said person.
4. The gun apparently wasnt unloaded, which TA would have known, yet he didn't nack down after it was pointed at him.
5. She disposed of the gun but "not the knife" even tho the gun was apparently travis' too and that would help prove her innocence.

Terrible, god awful lie. But, because jodi is a liar, we must assume she always lies even when it's to her detriment and the truth could save her from the needle?

Sorry but you're making up fantastical stories in your imagination that have no facts to back them up. Jodi's defense is her defense. I refuse to make up stories to try to defend her.

I am new to this forum but I absolutely must sound off, I apologize in advance so you are forewarned--proceed with caution...

1) Dr. Samuels used the DSM III, any self-respecting, competent MH professional is using the DSM IV TR and in some cases finding any tidbit/diagnostic information related to the coming release of the DSM V---this is a critical reference book that ALV has no clue or training on, whether it be the first release or the much anticipated DSM V. This is like a Dr. who doesn't have a guideline to help them diagnose medical conditions.

2) Jodi presented evidence, through her own writings, observed actions and various individuals' observations, as an obsessive stalker with elements of Cluster B personality DO. In fact, her mother and father provide verbal evidence that she had rage/anger issues while living in her home of origin, yet there is no evidence or behavorial history reported that Mr. Alexander had a hx of anger or aggression.

3) Mr. Alexander, unexposed to the personality type of Ms. Arias, struggled to be kind while desperately, and sometimes frustratedly, trying to let go of Ms. Arias--he tried repeated as evidenced by documented evidence. Understand, that that this is a conundrum for "normal" people, such as Mr. Alexander, because they are committed to decency and quite frankly decency does not matter to psychologically disrupted people such that which Ms. Arias presented as--social norms are irrelevant to Borderline or Antisocial PD. And don't forget that Travis' background would suggest an exposure to addictive practices, such as his addiction, both typical and not, to the sex offered and used by Ms. Arias, hence the fatal attraction to what Ms. Arias offered and he deeply craved.

4) No matter what you ever do to end a relationship it is never okay or acceptable to brutally kill someone. We all have choices in this life and at the end of the day Jodi chose to have and marry Travis no matter what, and when he said no she made a premediated decision that she would make sure Mimi or any marriageable woman would never win him over her.

Does anyone else see the lack of the "over kill" explanation as a real hole in defense. I thought ALV was being brought in primarily to explore the concept of JA still seeing TA as a threat after he was obviously unable to defend himself. Without that, didn't she have a responsibilty to withdraw when he was incapacitated?

Dr Horn testifies the gun shot first couldn't have happened otherwise TA wouldn't have defensive wounds.

NO jury questions for Doc Horn.

By no questions is the jury acknowledging his sequence of events?

If they have acknowledged that, how can they buy any of JA's story since she claims the gun shot first?

To answer your first question, "yes". There is no explanation for the overkill, no explanation as to WHY someone would continue to repeatedly stab someone in "self-defense", slit their throat, return the body to the originating point (the shower) and shoot them in the head. Is this a common occurring phenomenon of being a victim of abuse? PTSD? Whatever the defense is trying to say JA had that caused her to kill Travis?
