They really really don't want that rebuttal case to happen. They are filing motions everyday to stop the train that is hurtling towards them but there is nothing they can do about it. Juan has done nothing wrong. They know this.

Maybe the Judge 'suggested' that JM be a bit lower key with this witness...he is using a different approach today, and I like it. He can bring out the big guns burn when he needs it.... JMO

I think that maybe ALV was given a little admonition in chambers today as was the mitigation specialist who was filmed cracking up at ALV's 'Are you mad at me?' comment. And because JM is a classy guy, he's treating her like he expects she will be toning down her attitude and acting like a professional. JMO
