Unbelievable. Who gives a carp if jail is boring?! People in jail are there for a reason. Usually because they did something bad. In this case something heinous.

Who cares if JA is bored?! GMAFB!

OMG Shut up Alyce. STFU! I hope he ends this cross today, as much as I respect JM I do not want to hear another day of her biased BS.

Aren't you just loving her redirect during this cross examination?

The "jail can be boring" line is so offensive. I hope the jury feels the same. This is an admitted killer she's working for.

its a simple ???

This is ridiculous.

People in jail should not be having fun, Ms. LaViolette. Who cares if she was bored? :gavel:

Well, she sure didn't reduce her fee in this case - being that Arizona taxpayers' deep pockets are paying for this testimony.

HE IS SO HOT!

"Are you done? Or do you need to say more?"

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE <3

Just say 'none' it doesn't even matter, your defensiveness is the real issue here and what Juan is really exposing.

I have been lurking lately because everyone has such articulate messages to post. Now I must share because this lady has me in such despair almost in tears. I can not believe how horrible expert witnesses have gotten over the years to the point of out and out dishonesty for money and making both themselves and the profession I loved look like a bad joke. ALV even lied on her CV as a presenter!!! Good grief..

I am and was a very ethical Licensed Addiction Specialist and Certified Clinical Supervisor. It dishearten me when I see this foolishness on the stand and these people can not stand up and admit either they are wrong or didn't get enough information that would change their dx. Money or no money they still will get paid.

Thank you for listening.. For those who think the only valid professional is a PhD that is misnomer. I have spent over 1000 of hours of continuing education on top of the formal education to get to the point of taking the oh so difficult written test, then oral test / case review. It is not easy. At least to acquire a license to become an Addiction Specialist.

Thank you for listening and let me dab my tears concerning these bozo experts.

BRAVO! BRAVO! for your post Carnell! I totally agree with you. Oh, and BTW I , too, lurk most of the time because my arthritic/fibro fingers can't keep up with the brilliant posters here. Count yourself as part of that group Thank you.

OT - Phoenix expecting 50 mph winds with blowing dust today. I just went out to secure the patio, and the dog poop from next door came sailing by. :giggle:

Thank you for sharing. I could not call ALV an expert on anything. I would definitely say she is being deceitful.

her continual use of 'mr. martinez' is really grinding my gears.

Me too.

She's also killing me glancing over at the DT at some point in every answer.

  • #1,375
Oh yes, let's show respect to the murderer....:what:

  • #1,376
Yes we must respect the murderer. Pshhh

My psychologist and I bonded over Jackson Browne.
She did not, however, buy me any cds.

sorry, OT

ALV is just not going to answer any question posed to her. She "doesn't know" anything, she "doesn't remember" anything, she "can't answer" anything, it can't be answered in a yes or no, yada yada yada.

Why is the judge allowing her to ramble on?

i do like how JM just stands there and goes 'are you done yet, is that all you want to say' in a slight sarcastic tone.
