Then she should stay off the internet.

Yep.

ALV claims to struggle with internet basics such as email and yet we are supposed to believe that she is upset about posting on the internet.

Sorry Nurmi, you can't control what is out there on the internet.

Didn't Charles Manson have a Manifesto?

  • #463
Who is Amy? Why did Jodi give her the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Manifesto?

  • #464
You would have to raise the specter of some kind of comparative analysis. ;)

Exactly! No photos, no proof...I can't agree that it happened. Not that it makes one bit of difference.

When the defendant wrote her manifesto she was still in Siskiyou County Jail in California claiming the ninjas committed the heinous murder.
What nonsense do you think is in that manifesto?!? SMH

Lordy! It should be a real doozy! :)

Can DT bring back witnesses during that phase?
Like ALV to state again that JA was abused etc.?

-they can only bring witnesses to refute what Juan puts on in his rebuttal

never mind-you were asking about the penalty phase!

I feel like they are giving AVL a pass because she is an older woman. She really goes on and on, wasting time. I feel like they are giving her too much leeway. There has to be some decorum for the way a witness should be able to speak to the prosecution.

ITA. She's a $300 an hour "expert" for crying out loud and she's behaving like a 14 year old who got dissed by the cool kids table and ran tattling to the principle. Grow up Laviolett. This not about you and your boo boo feelings.

From what I've seen in other trials ( I'm not a lawyer)
In the penalty phase-
Both sides present witnesses. TA's family, friends etc will all get a chance to speak of their loss and JA's family, friends etc will get to plead for her life. It's unlikely the DT would ask ALV to return because of her performance in their case in chief but that's JMO.

I think it might be easier for some folks to imagine a stone ambush than something quite that twisted. I mean, "I'm gonna kill you, but first..." Dr. Drew said tonight he thinks it was her control mechanism, just as males use physical abuse with their victims.

:cow:

I think that at one point she had second thoughts about going through with the murder and this resulted in her getting seduced into sex. But something re-triggered her murder plans (probably the fight downstairs in his office) -- which compelled her to fix her mistakes of prior sex by coercing him into the shower to wash off the DNA she left on his body. We know from the fact that she dragged his body back to the shower stall for a cleaning that her DNA being on his body was a top priority. First the reason was to wash off the vaginal fluids and then after the botched murder attempt it was to wash off her blood.

I have never understood why some are so determined that they didn't have sex that day. It requires a great deal more mental gymnastics to believe they didn't than it does to believe they did.

I know! I'm trying to wrap my head around why it's so important, for some, to believe that they didn't have sex that day.

Is it all about protecting Travis' reputation?

I enjoyed the cross examination today :great: BUT, I am ready for rebuttal. I get the feeling from watching the DT that they are well aware that this case is over. Jodi will be convicted of 1st degree murder not doubt. I believe she will be given the DP, but she may not. Either way, she will be forever locked up and unable to have any kind of relations (front door or back) with any man again. Her manipulation will be wasted on other inmates who are as unimportant as she is. Never again will she destroy the life of someone who was a positive contributor to this planet. Her 15 minutes (feels more like 15 years) of fame are almost over, and she is getting antsy about that. It shows on her face and in her soulless eyes. JMO!

There's always a possibility of anything, right? Like monkeys might fly out of my derrière tonight. Aliens from the planet Fringus might kidnap me from my bed and use their probe on me. A young woman might murder her toddler, party for a month without reporting her missing, and abandon her body in a swamp, and be acquitted. You never know, till its over.

:floorlaugh: OK gotcha LOL

I worded that question incorrectly, does the jury have the option of acquitting her? (that should maybe be on the legal thread )

She was extra-creepy today (Imo)!!!!!

I cant put my finger on it--but there was something different....

She's white as Casper and her arms are stick thin. And, she knows the Jodi Show is on the verge of being cancelled.

Would we have to study them? I'm bowing out if it comes to that. :floorlaugh:

I'm annoyed by reading the latest motion for mistrial. Claiming that the trial has turned into a "witch hunt" of sorts.

Wasn't it the defense who brought in all this scandalous crap. The sex, the lies, the sex tape. It was their defense... Travis was some big bad sex feen and poor little innocent Jodi was just an abused fragile flower. They let her go on and on for weeks trashing Travis. They caused this! Isn't that obvious? Or am I just blinded by the fact that I think she is guilty guilty guilty?!

They claim that Mr Martinez has been "throwing his pen", and "yelling at witnesses" Also, they mention him posing with his "so-called fans"...What about JW stomping her feet, laughing at objections? What about Nurmi constantly throwing his pen down on the podium so we all hear it over and over and over again? I don't see JM as yelling at witnesses, I see him as calling them out. They are all living in this fantasty land that she was abused, and he knows that she wasn't. Maybe he gets a little excited, but I bet he's more than frustrated at the circus that this has become... because of the crap that was brought in by JA, Travis was brutally murdered and that needs to be remembered. It seems to be forgotten a lot.

Then they claim that he was "unapologetic" about the evidence he released. Now, maybe I'm cray cray.. but they are talking about the journals right? Isn't this public knowledge? Can't anyone request it and receive it. They act like Juan went to GMA personally and handed it over to them.

I haven't watched todays afternoon session. Going to get caught up on it now. Just wanted to vent about their latest mistrial request.

/denied.

Why would ALV approach and speak to Travis' sister after court? Isn't there something they can do about that?

  • #480
Who is Amy? Why did Jodi give her the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Manifesto?

Since ALV claims the defendant is the only one she personally spoke with.
It would seem Amy was somehow part of the defendant's case prior.
