Don't ever try a first to blink competition with JA. You will lose!

Like defendant, like "expert" witness

Two rotten apples in the bunch

Oh good, Jodi looks like she's stoned again. I prefer her this way than to the ferret she appeared to be yesterday.

Some days she is manic........and some days she is depressed....

I think the meds begin to wear out by the end of the day.

secondary gain was NOT ruled out

(secondary gain is when you use something... like saying there was abuse... to avoid jail time etc)

  • #507
What is secondary gain?

Is ALV a bit subdued today (ie, xanaxed?). She looks pale and tired.

Katiecoollady mentioned a sandstorm (duststorm?) yesterday (it was VERY windy in the Sacramento area, too). ALV may be having allergy/upper respiratory issues, which can affect the voice AND make one feel fatigued.

she drives me freakin' crazy!!!

Sustained, next question?! That is not a ruling.... Everyone can't win...this isn't like kindergarten t-ball...everyone doesn't get a trophy.

This is my first court case so here goes a basic question. Many WSers have commented on the fact Judge Stephens always allows approaches. What do other judges do?

They rule on the gd objection and tell the witness to answer the question yes or no.

Limited scope LaViolette claims.

I quite agree. Very limited. ;)

By ALV playing these word games and not answering his questions she is doing the patient she is trying to save no favors.

She certainly does not want to put the word truth in the same sentence as the defendant... I agree, being slippery about answering such questions appears to be rather deceitful and is not going to help either her or the defendant. Big difference between answering the DT and JM. It will not be lost on the jury.

I never thought I would say this, but bring back Samuels. At least he knew how to answer questions in the way they were asked.

What is she (ALV) smiling about? WTH is there to possibly smile about?

  • #516
Anyone see Donovan lately?

  • #517
Oh boy, here we go again! Going to try very hard to not yell at ALV today. Don't think the critters can take it! :o)

Willmott will be writing her manifesto later today according to the glaring stink eye she is giving Juan.

My theory on those awful braids on the day she murdered Travis:

What better way to contain hairs that may fall out and leave evidence? Braid your hair and even hair that naturally falls out would be contained within the weave of the braid.

That's why her hair was braided. Looks ridiculous.

I have mentioned that fact about the braids many times. It does show premeditation of not wanting evidence of her visit. Maybe it's too difficult/impossible to prove that she braided it ahead of time?
