I wish Juan Martinez would make the point that Ms LV is always talking about "context" and "the big picture" and why wouldn't she want to KNOW these things relative to JODI in terms of interviewing JA family, friends, teachers, neighbors etc.

Can anyone tell me that when the Judge sustains that the witness is non-responsive, that Juan in fact "wins" that objection?

Don't know why this is hard for me to grasp for some reason.

Sustained means "I agree with your objection"

Overruled means "You're wrong"

The problem here and what is likely causing your confusion, is that the Judge is sustaining his objections (meaning he is right) but then telling him to ask another question.

She's just going to assume that both parties are minimizing what happened.

I think that statement alone should disqualify her from assessing any relationship in front of a court.

It's shocking! She should not be counselling or advocating for anyone!

Arias Mom's twin sister still not in attendance of the trial. This makes 3 weeks she is not there, right?

Last time I saw the twin she was crying and being comforted by an older female family member,Twin leaning away from Arias Mom.

I find this very curious after so many months in attendance sitting next to Arias Mom on a daily basis.

I have to wonder if she has been subpoenaed by the prosecution? :waitasec: Or perhaps there is dissension between the Twins?

Perhaps a family issue of her own at home?

I actually think this is by design. If she shuts down the question, Juan is free to move on and rephrase in a manner that will attempt to get her to answer.

Alyce is always 100% right. You must NEVER question her or imply that she may not have all the facts.

This is what happens when one anoints ones' self as an expert and pioneer, regardless of how the field has progressed since the 70's.

Her expertise is more like that of a psychic. She just "knows" things.

ALV has HUGE black bags under her eyes today. She knows she has destroyed herself. I doubt she would ever want to testify for anyone again even if they would consider hiring her. It looks like this has taken a huge physical and emotional toll on her. This seems to be addressed in that last motion for mistrial. She just thought she could waltz in, claim DV, say she was only looking at that narrow little area and refuse to answer any surrounding questions and she is getting reamed for that critical miscalculation.
