BBM...I dont understand why the state cannot take xrays and or a physician look at this finger. As with fingerprints, hair samples etc...it is a crucial part of this case. Since it is Jodi who is claiming this is abuse by TA couldnt they subpoena an xray of the finger?

I wonder about that too. I think there's some kind of law that prohibits forced medical exams.

I am so glad I'm not in AZ.! I swear at some point or other I'd have to slap her face. ALV. is the height of "you dont tell me what to say". What a smart azz. What should I do? Stay at work to miss less or leave early, miss some, but get home early to be able to watch more without work interruptions?

These are the issues I face and no one else seems to understand!

Go home, get into comfy clothes, pour some wine, watch what you can live and check youtube later.

Youtube is a godsend. You can fast forward through Seals and Sidebars even. And avoid all sight and sound of maddening HLN talking heads.

We all have been doing that since the beginning ! As of yesterday, it is not working for about 30 of us here in the threads. it worked before yesterday and all of a sudden it has shut down.

Many of us are very frustrated as we cannot do life streaming anymore.

Can you share with us what type of phone you have, and what server you have? As we are trying to troubleshoot. Thank you. or any other information that you have.

The DV is relevant to the question of self-defense--if the defendant suffered DV from the deceased, then the jury can consider her decision to use deadly force from the perspective of a battered woman/person rather than from the perspective of a "reasonable" person.

The PTSD is only relevant IMO to convince the jury that the "fog" is not a lie.

This thing has dragged on so long I actually forgot that she was claiming self defense. So the domestic violence expert believes that being a victim of abuse excuses the victim from over killing the perpetrator.

At this point, "forgetting" to bring her glasses with her to the stand HAS to be intentional.

I expect her to come into court on a scooter and do some knitting on the stand.

ETA this is not a dig about age, it's about this witness who claims that she is old fashioned and doesn't know too much computer stuff such as email etc.

If Ms. ALV is really so upset by the Cross exam under Juan it could be easily remedied.

All she has to do is answer with a Yes/No answer when applicable, or simply answer honestly the first time Juan asks a question. Simply stop skirting the questions and give valid answers.

But... if ALV did what I propose above, she would not be getting as many hours billed for appearing in court @ $300 per hour.

ALV might be able to save some of her respectability if she stopped sparring with the Prosecutor. As she stands now, ALV is losing the battle for respectability. :twocents:

I find it so strange that she is so technically challenged.. someone who is apparently still in the work force. How is this possible that she doesn't know about email or texting?

My mom is 80, been retired for almost 20 years and emails, texts, has a facebook account... etc.

I'm only a few years younger than ALV, and IMO she doesn't WANT to know about all that. She LIKES being old-fashioned. The fact is she doesn't really understand emails and texts and how they are different from, say, a letter.

I have a brother-in-law who is just like her. He's the most annoying person in the world. Willfully ignorant.
