She maintains they WERE in a relationship, whether they thought so or not.

Well that's not really fair. Jodi admits they were broken up on the stand. And the only reason she got upset about Travis and other women was because he was still "courting" her and she wanted to know where she stood. We know they broke up then because she says they did.

I've been napping and heard: If you were in my group, I'd ask you to take a time out.

Wow - I perked right up!

Holy Bejeezus.

I'm pretty sure a man can fake an orgasm on a sex tape as well as a woman.

Unofficial poll time! :great:

How many peeps here hear evidence of Jodi's manipulation in their sex tape?

The evidence was her steering the conversation back toward sex once Travis strayed from her preferred topic.

Travis told her, "you're on the top of my list", referencing a trip he planned, to which Jodi responded, "I'm on top in more ways than one". And then the conversation turns back toward sex.

What a disgusting, arrogant, disrespectful woman!!!!!

Thank you for mentioning this. I think that Ms. LaViolette isn't accustomed to asking anyone about anything. She makes assumptions, choices, decisions, etc. without seeking the advice or expertise of others. I've noticed how she continuously uses her hands to form a "box" as if to put all of her reasoning about Jodi into a neat little package - into context, as she says. The scope of her testimony is extremely biased and limited.

Well said! Limited indeed.

To prove it further, she saw no need for continuous education - she knew it all and considers herself THE expert in domestic violence. The arrogance of not needing to learn anymore!! She won't even learn to use email or texting! Very stuck in her ways and confident she knows best.

Now that I cleaned up my tea. Time out LOL I just spit my tea out and that is not cool. Losing weight here and I only allow myself a cup of tea a day. She just made me waste a sip.

TY, AZlawyer! Please clarify that for me. I was under the impression that she was brought on board first to assist with the mitigation, should it be needed. Is that wrong? Straighten me out here, please. TIA :)

Yes, that's true. A mitigation specialist is something else completely. A mitigation specialist usually has a background in social work, is sometimes also a paralegal, and consults about what type of mitigation evidence should be produced in the penalty phase. They are not witnesses.

Alyce was hired to be a witness in the mitigation phase, and then later was added as a witness in the guilt/innocence phase also.
