So abusers are treated like willful, spoiled children and victims are storybook characters. Yep. This is a domestic violence expert I will continually, voraciously, disagree with, thank you very much.

I've honestly never seen anyone so well acquainted with abuse, albeit probably 2nd hand, who had such overly simplistic and unrealistic correlations to abusers and victims both. I find it very unsettling.

ALV is certain Jodi was abused based on some emails, texts and Jodi said so? That would seem very poor evaluation by any standard. Why is it that the defense experts make mistakes that add to what Jodi says? Wouldn't it be a more natural mistake to leave something out, not add something that's not there?
ALV added Mesa to her notes, but testified Jodi said Utah, Samuels added details, too - he said it was because he wrote fast, but that Jodi hadn't said whatever it was, he'd added - it doesn't make sense.
If you were writing quickly, or taking notes while talking to someone, you wouldn't add a fact, you might miss something, maybe omit something you meant to include - but you wouldn't add to it.
