Sorry, but this woman is either obtuse or there is something wrong with her. She's beyond strange.

I am so glad the jury heard Travis (on the tape) and read his messages.

They can weigh this on their own.

  • #1,143
Oh wow!

  • #1,144
I have three daughters, I would not say Travis was abusive!!!!!

  • #1,145
Here we go with the "daughter" analogy again!

Most jurors are sitting up and forward as they watch the battle ensue. I don't see many notes being taken at the moment. #JodiArias

@LeanneFleischer I have on a pink slanket. It's like a snuggie but way better.

So she spoke with the men in her group about travis' behavior and they felt it was abusive...really did i hear that?

  • #1,152
She respects the men in her "group" so much that she can read their minds and speak for them.

  • #1,153
Who cares what a bunch of goofs in one of Alyce's group thinks about anything? How about some studies or statistics, Alyce?? SUPPORT your claims!

Don't get technical, Horace.

Why is Jodi and her DT smiling and looking pleased at times??? This testimony is damaging. Jurors will use common sense about this stalking versus DV.

This verbal abuse thing is bull pucky. A little verbal abuse doesn't hurl a woman into battered woman syndrome. Verbal abuse is bad, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't rise to the level of what true DV victims go through. She is minimizing her own cause.

  • #1,155
All battered men and women just collectively flipped off LaViolette. How can she say she is not biased when she only seems to believe men can be batterers and abusers?

  • #1,156
She relates things someone might say in a coffee klatsch, not like any expert.

  • #1,157
She is victim blaming. Saying Travis wasn't a victim of stalking because he didn't seek help. Well I'd like to see how well the victim blaming would go over if she was talking to a female victim who has been stalked.:furious:

Oh that's right..........its only stalking if a male does it.:banghead:

If she subscribes to this theory, then Jodi was not a victim of abuse because she didn't seek help, right?

the men in the group ALSO look at CONTEXT

fgs.....

Alyce:

Don't forget to remind Juan Martinez that his name is Juan Martinez.

1. Verbal abuse alone does NOT constitute an abusive relationship which I'd argue is a different and separate definition entirely from any abusive behaviors.

2. Anyone can be abused.

3. Lack of evidence of abuse doesn't mean there wasn't abuse but then you are forced to look at the pattern of behaviors of an alleged victim - and Jodi's actions are very contrary to most victim patterns I am aware of - both before and after Travis' murder.

Welcome to DV 101, 2013 edition, Alyce!
