Is this a lunchtime break?

I'm not watching re-direct even if someone offered me a million dollars to do so.

Only thing that matters is what this jury thinks. I'm only focusing on JM from now onwards.

Travis was dating Lisa for 8 months?

Who's the monster? The girl sitting there with an evil smirk on her face or the man she slaughtered and left to rot? Who was being stalked and terrorized? Is this a hard concept?

Another thing Alyce. He's not mischaracterizing your testimony. He's showing your testimony to the world. YOU mischaracterized the defendant and are either too proud to admit you're wrong or you're biased toward the defendant at all costs. Even the cost of your reputation.

I don't know about every man, but I will bet my air conditioning that some of them are telling her whatever she wants so they can get OUT of that COURT ORDERED group. :twocents:

OMG :what: Never dawned on me that it wouldn't be voluntary!!!

I personally always thought it was to blackmail TA and I wouldn't doubt that's part of the reason for his last longggg note to JA.

JMHO of course!
fran

Agreed but When I saw JAs reaction to the phrase BLACK MAIL I'm thinking there may in fact be the other parts of that long sociopathic text msgs that have not been admitted due to bias/foundation/unsustaniated etc BUT since ALV SAID the word BLACKMAIL it may in fact be admitted in???

IDK but BINGO BANGO she definitely did it!!

Bathroom break - shades of JA and her fainting spells/headaches?

Things get hard on the stand so we need a brief recess to regroup. I have now decided that Nurmi has only two tactics and he coaches all his defendants and witnesses to use these methods.

1) Purposeful obtusity if you don't want to answer the questions from the mean ole Prosecution then feign ignorance and then dance round the question for a while and then answer everything but the question and throw in lots and lots of extraneous detail to bury your answer within. and

2) When you get lost, get hungry, faint tired or need to pee ASAP in order to buy yourself more time to figure out how to answer.

Also, get pep talk and massage from adoring minions.

If anyone hasn't seen or wants to, here's a link to the Settlement Memorandum she filed after the State refused a plea deal. basically telling them 'plea me out OR ELSE'. (Just remember how insecure she is)

She's basically threatening to destroy Travis' reputation and exposing him. Nurmi signed it but it sounds just like Jodi wrote it...not a compliment.

That document is why the DT has no business complaining about this trial having turned into a circus. They promised us a circus the minute they filed it.

Oh, she just thinks she's clever. "My evaluation is based on the big picture." Therefore, it matters not what details contradict the evaluation. They are all unimportant, because only the totality matters. As though that makes sense.

I think she is attempting to use a Taoist approach, but she is forgetting that in Taoism the totality never excludes the details. Neither can exist without the other. Naturally, I don't think there would be any point in beginning that conversation with her. Talk about an endless discussion -- does darkness require light? May light exist without it? Brother.

:seeya:
...philosophy proff?

 wth... ALV insists she looks at everything as a whole when its about Travis and benefits the killer, yet she looks at JAs behavior of stalking and anything else damaging as an isolated incident.... Pfffft

  • #1,372
One thing about Alyce, she is bringing DV against men to the forefront, in an indirect way. But, she is giving a green light to whacked stalkers everywhere watching this! Peeping into windows, sleeping in their beds, hacking into accounts....appalling...the attitude that the man had it coming, so kill him. BS.

I'd do it for $500,000

JW: Objection judge, it's not a yes or no question.
Judge: Overruled, you may answer.
ALV (to judge): Yes or no?
Judge: Yes, yes or no.
ALV: What I did was I...blah, blah, blah.

Her listening skills are awesome.

The trip to Havasupie (or however it's spelled)? I didn't know that!! I thought they all just took the trip as friends!

Lissette Martinez@martinezliss

ALV, defense attnys and #JodiArias now talking at their desk this was certainly an intense morning for both sides

I have always thought that even though Travis might have felt threatened by JA, there was no way, no how, he thought he couldn't take her on and stop her if she tried to harm him.

That breaks my heart.

  • #1,378
OH I know! I also have a son, he's 44 now, he started dating at 16, and until 6 years ago he always dated more than one girl at the same time. ALV is scary! Seriously, talking is cheating!!!! If that were true, we are all cheaters.

Apparently, the concept of "back burnering" is totally lost on ALV.

Although it is recommended that people take action in terms of a restraining order or police report in cases of stalking and abuse, the fact is, that will escalate most situations to the extreme danger zone.

It's the right thing to do but I would only do it after you bought a gun, got a lic. to carry it and plan to use it.

Well Jodi always has a kernel of truth, no matter how small, in whatever she utters so sure, its possible.

Yep, for no reason at all it popped into my head that Jodi's skateboard/license plate story probably had a kernel of truth. Like she pulled into a parking lot somewhere on her way to mesa, removed her front plate, grabbed an arizona plate off of a car, and put it on her car (rear). When she leaves Travis' she switches the Ca plate but puts it upside down because she's distracted with getting rid of other evidence.
