Hello all!

I loved JM yesterday. I didn't watch Willmot's re-direct and didn't really follow on here much either. Just put the video on mute and went about my stuff. I do hope she's done at some point today and we can get to the questions from the jurors! I hope the Defense rests this week.

I read Katiecoolady's post on the other thread about not giving JA more attention. I agree completely! JA knows all eyes are on her and she does everything to take attention away from Travis and be back at the center of attention. She assumes we're more interested in things like her giggling and whispering with her team, pretending she sees juror misconduct, being secretive with her body posture etc. than the fact that Travis was butchered to death.

I'm going to focus all my attention on those supporting Travis! I'm not going to pay attention to these miserable conscience-less people again. Till verdict day that is. On THAT day I will look at Arias and Defense team and will watch their faces with unbridled glee as the GUILTY OF MURDER ONE verdict is read.

I am still in a "fog" as to the difference between the answers Alyce in Wonderland gave both Juan & Wilma. It is so wonderfully obvious what a liar she is.

Juan, any questions asked she dances around everything she possibly can. THERE IS NO YES OR NO ANSWER.

Wilma, YES, NO, YES, NO, YES, NO.

Unbelieveable.

It fascinates me that the major witnesses for the defense, JA, Samuels and ALV, all seem to think that Martinez is out to "trick" them. Not punch holes in their stories, mind you, but somehow trick them into saying something they don't mean, or twisting their words. Classic behavior of people who can't face the fact that they're full of . . . whatever.

The jury is tired. Willing to be attentive and taking their job seriously, but weary. They want answers.

It's so obvious the bias when the DT witnesses are calm and forth coming until they have to answer Pros questions. I'm screaming at the tv, "Just answer the *in' question". I'm there by choice. The jurors are required to be there.

The utter lack of common sense is a pattern in the Defense's case. Almost every single thing they want the jurors to believe would require the jurors to ignore the physical evidence that is present in this case. Add to that two expert witnesses who are incompetent and strongly biased towards the defendant. Taking contexts into consideration only makes the State's case stronger. Whether one is looking at the tiny details or the bigger picture JA guilty of the premeditated murder of Travis Alexander as well as accusing the victim of abuse and pedophilia without any evidence whatsoever.

I get what you're saying, but ...

There's no evidence to support another person being there. None at all. Another person wasn't needed for Jodi to accomplish killing Travis, then dispose of evidence. Jodi could have acted alone. The evidence itself points to Jodi and only Jodi.

That being said, I'm not closed to the idea Jodi had help. If there's evidence of it, I'm all ears.

ITA. It's pretty obvious from Flores' interrogation of Jodi that they were open to the idea that someone else was involved, but Flores clearly states that there was no evidence of anybody being there but Jodi. I also think that had anybody else been there, Jodi would have long since thrown him/her under the bus with the other 2,478 people there.

So let me get this straight.....On one hand we are to believe that Jodi's childhood and family life was so abusive that it helps explain her battered-woman state of mind and her slaughtering Travis, in self defense of course...

However, on the other hand ALV wants us to believe that her family of origin issues weren't severe enough for her to possibly be abusive herself, as she tried to explain Travis' early family life and alleged abusive nature. That Jodi can only be a victim.

I'm sure some people who come from very abusive or generally negative backgrounds do become abusive or have other issues themselves. You know what another possibility is? Them becoming motivational speakers.

It's a one-way street for the DT:

Travis can abuse Jodi; Jodi couldn't possibly abuse Travis.

When Jodi says she said it was over, she meant it, even though she went back, which is understandble, because she was abused; when Travis said it was over, he wasn't serious, and even though he still had relations with her, that wasn't because he's abused, it's because he's evil.

There are so many more examples, which I thought of all day yesterday, but can't think of anymore now. "Too early" is my excuse!

It would be great to see a photo progression of JA beginning from her time with TA up until yesterday......hint hint beg beg to some of you creative peeps with tons of screen grabs....:lol:

It really is bizarre how much her appearance has changed and it is NOT just a lack of makeup, I tell ya. I know I am in the minority but I thought JA appeared to be a pretty girl in her photos from 2007-08. I thought the blonde was a little harsh, but her face was smoother and fuller and her features softer and lighter.

Now her head and face appear huge and craggy, she is beetle-browed and has deep marionette lines (I do, too, but I am much older than JA) and of course there is the prison pallor.

She simply does not look like the same person even accounting for stress, diet, lack of sun and lack of cosmetics. It's weird. :waitasec:

Oh! And another rambling thought.....(coffee hasn't kicked in yet).....to whoever it was who mentioned setting the stage for insanity defense.....it sure appears that way with the drugged up stares and the coloring and the jacket and inappropriate facial gestures (and often lack of any gestures) .......IANAL, but it won't fly. She has already been shown as sane, legally speaking. Unless they are hoping it will help during her sentencing phase? IDK.

I think jodi was stunning and i think that Travis really fell for her ( until he realized she was whack job); She has pretty much lost her looks and you are right she has those awful marionette lines ( I am way older than she is and i have them and hate them). She has aged at least 10 years since she has been in jail. Hopefully she will stay in prison for the rest of her life and soon her face will be wrinkly and those lines will be worse. oh what fun to watch grodi lose her looks.

Maybe because they're so diligently trying to trick the prosecution, they project that behavior outward. It really does suck to be the DT!

I would tend to suspect her nose might simply appear more prominent now because her face isn't as full.

I remember Mr Jeff Ashton prosecutor for ca case ...after the trial ended ..he said just ignore ca. I have followed his suggestion and none of my energy goes to her.

I am disheartened when I see the DT ask for a mistrial based on JM taking a picture outside the courtroom, ask for the removal of juror #5 yet here their client is sending messages through her friend to twitter and sell art work.

I believe in the rights of a defendant to have a fair trial. I believe in the whole court system and the work they do to ensure that convictions are true and accurate with the evidence available. But, this just pushes the limits for defendant's constitutional rights.

I hope her DT wakes up today to the news and reminds the defendant that she herself is walking herself to death row by showing how ruthless and uncaring she really is.

Wow. Didn't she realize what she was getting herself into? I know she's not the brightest crayon in the box but, dang! She's coming off extremely unprepared and unknowing!



This article goes on to mention, Alyce, Wilmott and the other staff member were seen/photographed eating dinner last night and that supposedly is considered witness tampering.

At least in this article he seems fairly even-handed, although I think it's weird that he feels because ALV didn't break down on the stand that she somehow "won." Digging you heels in isn't really a sign of winning, as far as I'm concerned.

Is she shackled when they bring her in? Is she searched before she goes back to her cell? Inquiring minds want to know.

I think it may be Ms. Wong the HLN producer. They still haven't resolved that motion for mistrial.

I did not watch JW on re-direct. Too worn out from "extraction" of yes or no from LV!!! It was that painful, and I would think the jury felt the same way and were also tuned out.

The jurors question will be the most telling, IMO. They should give us a read of their feelings about LV's evasiveness.

Hopefully all of the seeds JM planted will be brought up by these questions. Then let us see if Juan finally gets the answers, as she will not want to F--- with the jurors!
