Honestly I am baffled that in my country I can be brutally murdered in my own home and then have my most intimate moments, that I did NOT know was being recorded, be played for not only a court room full of my family and friends but on a live feed that is being seen/heard around the world.

The reason I have a problem with it is becuase it was played only due to things that came out of Jodi's mouth. There was not honest to god evidence that would make the playing of that tape OK. There just isn't. It's despicable.

Travis absolutely needs to be humanized besides his death photos and photos of him with his killer. That can happen in much better ways like playing video he knew was being recorded. Travis doing his job, Travis out having fun with friends. That is Okay but unless there is A WHOLE TON of evidence that would make the playing of that tape necessary it shouldn't be, especially with the feed running.

I am very sad that this is happening in my country.

I hate that Travis gets lost in all the lurid details of the trial. The picture of Travis giving Napoleon a smooch gets me every time, just makes my heart hurt. HLN "After Dark" is recreating the "killing scene" with the "bold accusation" tonight being Jodi's killing story is impossible. I cannot comprehend how, in 62 seconds, everything she alleges happened could have occurred. If this were truly self-defense, and he came at her suddenly and without her anticipating it, she wouldn't even begin to think clearly to grab the gun (assuming for this argument it was on that shelf) or get the knife.

However, in 62 seconds a lot could be accomplished if she already had the weapons with her and it was only a matter of killing him, planned ahead of time in her mind how she would do it.

It bothers the heck out of me how the defense team just lied about the evidence and what the ME said.:furious: Good grief if they are going to do this silly show they need to get the facts straight instead of making them up to help their side of the case. It infuriates me.

This picture scares me. The extreme closeness to Wilmott, the stare that goes right thru Wilmott, the beady eyes. It even captures a moment of disgust from JW . It screams creepy murderer to me.

As far as I know,she was convicted and sentenced to 26 years,appealed and got a new trial,then was aquitted.But in Italy the prosecutors can appeal acquittals,unlike the US or Canada,and the higher courts overturned her aquittal and ordered a new trial.Apparently she does not have to attend and it's up to the US if she is extradited.

But even if she's not extradited,if she's found guilty and travels to some foreign country which has an extradition treaty with Italy,she could be picked up and shipped of to Italy to serve her sentence.So if that happens,she'll have to be careful where she travels.MOO from what I've heard and read.

He didn't murder that girlfriend though .. he may have killed before her. There is a theory around that he killed women that reminded him of her because his victims had their hair parted down the middle as she did. Ted himself said it was the 70s .. all girls had their hair parted down the middle. Anyway, I think Jodi murdered Travis for entirely different reasons than Ted killed, I don't believe she got her sexual thrills from murder, I think she was in a narcissistic rage AT Travis because HE rejected her.

I wonder is she sees her self defense boat sailing away and is thinking mental illness/insanity is a better way? I find it odd that she's doodling away over there when she's on trial. Wasn't there another killer who used an insanity defense and all he did was color at his trial?

John Couey, Jessica Lundsford's murderer. Someone posted about him earlier today with his coloring books and crayons. I hate even thinking about that case and what that poor child suffered at his hands. I generally gravitate towards children's cases because they touch me. But there's something about this case, and the almost adolescent innocence about Travis that drew me in.

I can't bear couldn't bear to listen or see wilmott today. I had to mute my tv she just drives me crazy with her long recrosses. I'm sure the jury knew what she was going to do. Her little pattern of pounding it in their minds wether they want to hear it or not. It seems to have gotten personal with her. She wants to beat juan. This is not a game to him, he's very passionate about his cause for justice.

It almost seemed like JW was trying to emulate JM in her re-direct today with her hypotheticals etc. She's out of her league IMO. She stumbled a lot over her questioning, and can't speak off the cuff like Juan does. It didn't come across well to me. Her best bet is to be done with this witness asap because I don't see that she's doing their case any good. She fumbles and "misspeaks" far too often to be a credible witness.

ITA! All I kept thinking was that JW's jealousy of Juan was in full effect this afternoon. Hmm, wonder if ALV would categorize that as positive jealousy? :floorlaugh:

What was really odd to me is she didn't interview JAs parents or siblings face to face. Was she afraid of the answers she would get about the pathological liar that she so zealously defends?

She was resticted by the defense team. She was told what she could view and who she could talk to and yes the defense team was afraid of what she might find out from having face to face talks with anyone other than Jodi. She is a hired gun and thats what they do.
