It's like something a child would do. She thinks it makes her look charming, sweet and cute, so the jury surely must think so too. After all, she really is just an innocent little thing. :what: jmo
Not to me, it looks like a straight jacket...:what:

Has it already been posted who this other DT witness is going to be?

I would agree that none of those things are stalking -- not in the way it's considered as a criminal offense. That's why I was asking how she defined it - I was wondering if she was talking about "stalking" in some special diagnostic way or as a criminal offense or just throwing the word around without actually saying what parameters there are for stalking.

If she's talking about a criminal offense, then she's right - that's not "stalking." I also noticed that Juan asked her if these things were "stalking type behavior" and not asking her to make a conclusion about whether it met the legal definition.

With respect I disagree. When you go to a judge and ask for relief from a stalker you only need to present that this person is causing you distress. Because each stalking case is so specific in the details of that case, it depends on how the person is feeling about it.

I clarify that this is in our state. I have no knowledge of other states.

Donovon is selling JA's art, I wonder if she is keeping a portion of the proceeds as payment for PR services, magazine smuggling, etc.?
Go on over to that website, it's a real hoot. All kinds of stipulations for re-selling the @#$% art work.

Repulsive, so repulsive. Honestly she has shown absolutely no remorse for taking the life of a young man, a man who was in the prime of his life. Disgusting.

I think Jodi would be happy to see all the women booted off the jury because in her mind, men - all men, want her. She doesn't realise that a jury full of men is more likely to vote for the Death Penalty.

IMO
And... her prize "expert" witness is most likely NOT endearing herself to the men on the jury, considering her man-hating attitude!!!

Re stalking, it's plain that Jodi was the pursuer in Mesa, not TA. Not a crime but an indication of mindset.

Not to me, it looks like a straight jacket...:what:

It looks like a straight jacket to me as well. But I have seen little girls do this very thing, and maybe that's what JA has in mind as well. Jmo of course. :)

ALV told JM what stalking is not:
It's not Jodi moving post-breakup in June 07 to Mesa near TA
It's not Jodi peeping in TA's window at him and a female in August
It's not Jodi tracking down/confronting Bianca post-breakup w/Matt
It's not Jodi's multiple efforts to get back with Bobby, despite his efforts to avoid her.

IIRC ALV said "fear" must, not only be present in a victim of stalking, but the victim must respond to the fear in overt ways for it to be stalking.

One of my favorite ALVisms was when JM was talking about JA's sleeping in MM bed when he wasn't there, without his permission. JM asked if that was stalking and ALV replied that it wasn't, it was just that JA had a hard time moving on. That's an understatement.

The cops still cannot do a lot in states, because the laws are still catching up. This was back in 2008. Laws were on the stalker's side.

Arizona has an excellent "Stalking" law that has been in effect since at least 1997. (I and my children had our own unfortunate experience w/a stalker)

It's unfortunate that TA didn't look into it, but I can totally understand, she was a 1000 miles away and in a different state. He thought he was finally safe.

Don't you wish that the court would allow us each to have a say with ALV??

I know I'd have a field day.

She's just plain WRONG when she says that a victim of stalking must have FEAR.

I have a guy in this town stalking me right now. I am not afraid because I am prepared. Fear is a subjective term.

I am annoyed. I am aware. I am concerned for my safety but I am not afraid.

The police have already responded and reassured me that they will keep an eye on him. So I did take action but not out of a fear response.

Any time someone interferes with your quality of life in a repetitive, unwanted fashion they can be a stalker.

You might not even know the name of the person stalking you, it could be someone who saw you once in a coffee shop and they fixated on you.

In my case I was out walking my dog.

ALV does not present herself as an expert in my opinion on the issue of stalking.

I thought she "dry-humped" this young man after committing MURDER...I know the Jurors remember this.

Yeah, like what dogs do, only in dog world humping is the role of the male.

Do you know what the age difference is from Jodi and her brother, Carl to the next batch of kids? the younger sister and bro? I wonder what age Jodi was when little sister was born? Was Jodi Daddy's girl and a new baby sister came on the scene? (although I think Jodi was born with serious problems)

Good question - She wanted to be Daddy's Girl IMO and when her little sister was born, that "power" was taken away from JA - All the attention was given to the little sister and brother - She could not handle that. I don't know the exact ages of her siblings, but during testimony, I believe I heard that her little brother and sister were born 7-10 years AFTER she was...

But she IS there to explain how a history of domestic violence leads one to fear for their life in situations when others would not reasonably fear for their lives. As far as I can tell, she did not make that connection or testify about it at all.

Let's all hope that Juan doesn't bring this up. This is actually very true and is a symptom of hypervigilance.

So if the defense can really prove that JA has a history of domestic violence in her LIFE not just with TA, then they COULD successfully state that she may indeed suffer from hypervigilance. Hypervigilance, a component of PTSD can make a person strike out in a situation where they feel threatened and someone not suffering from this wouldn't see the threat.

But I think Dr. "I sent Jodi greeting Cards" Samuels probably dumped water on that fire.

She didn't drop the camera in the picture they are claiming, the angle and the expert says so.
Come on, this woman stated when Travis was choking her that one time that she didn't fight back because she was afraid of hurting him. what? (wasn't this when some money was getting borrowed or something happened in the relationship?) Perhaps Jodi tried to choke Travis before and he didn't fight back because he was afraid of hurting her. Ever think about that?

I keep thinking they need to point out that Travis having been a wrestler could have put her in a stranglehold. He wouldn't have had to choke her out.

I sure hope the prosecutor points out if Travis wanted to kill her he could have grabbed the gun (she says he had) or the knife nearby.

Saaayyyyy....you know you might have just struck a gong here...

In testimony today they said that Jodi climbed on top of this other guy. That she straddled him. Now, in the dog world this is a show of dominance.

In this case we have what appears to be a role reversal.

Interesting comparison. You too get a gold star. :rocker:

It's not funny, but I laughed out loud when she said that.

So when a woman stalks a man, she just has a hard time moving on. But when Travis became justifiably angry and called Jodi a sociopath etc, he's abusing her.

That's how ALV thinks. She sees everything through her man-hating glasses.

I cannot stand feminists like ALV; her type of thinking is the reason feminist has become a four letter word.

IMO
Even the 3 Bears were scared when they found someone sleeping in their beds, but oh no, not in ALV's version of the tale.

OT but after today, I am relaxing and watching Duck Dynasty. I am laughing out loud and it feels so good. jmo

My 85 year old grandma LOVES this show so much. She can barely hear and sees just about as well, and she believes the show is actually called "Hillbilly Millionaire" not Duck Dynasty but when it's on she gets so excited! Last time I was home visiting she told me, "you better get my oxygen hose! Hillbilly Millionaire is coming on and those boys make me laugh so hard I can't breathe!"
