Yes or no, that's all I'm asking, is there trial today Yes or no?

Just thinking out loud..
If thousands of people were saying I'm wrong... I think I would re access what I was doing.

If we see a witness being forcibly dragging to the stand, we will know someone did some reflection.;)

I don't understand why people (like on the wildabouttrial for example)spread rumours! Bad enough we have to deal with this trial but then every single day we hear rumours about court being cancelled, mistrials, juror misconduct etc.

It's so easy to wait for information from a reliable source!

Sorry. I'm venting.

WildAboutTrial @WildAboutTrial
I have confirmation that Alyce is here. Let's hope we can get going for another day of testimony. :)

Again, I have heard from katiecoollady that she has not heard this. I presume she is with the family and would know wether or not there will be court today.

Thanks for posting this and I believe your friends are honest in their assessment.

I too hate to see innocent people hurt.

With that said, if what you were told is true, there comes a point in one's life were they must decide to do the right thing or do the wrong thing. And as we have seen by her testimony alone, she has chosen to do the wrong thing. She has been presented with truth and is choosing to discount it and destroy the reputation of a murdered innocent man. This was so obvious the past few days. IMO, a person who is respectable and with morals would put an end to the insanity and say "I believe in truth and justice" and will no longer cater to a murderous manipulator. At what point does the almighty dollar become more important than truth? She chose to doublespeak and give Jodi a lifeline while sinking Travis further. This was a choice. She is not forced to do this.

I have no pity for someone like this and do not see them as innocent any longer.

Well said, well spoken, BG...(from Caddyshack, I think)

ALV, in her testimony, has disparaged Travis, has assassinated his character, and Travis can do nothing about her words. One cannot libel/slander the dead.

And dead he is, brutally so.

What is so interesting about the information you posted is that given all that you have posted is true....and it does temper my opinion of ALV, what has really made me dislike her on a personal level is her behavior in the court room with Mr. Martinez.

She would have had ample opportunity to find out what kind of prosecutor he is and his court room 'style'.

Her behavior does not come across as professional and I believe this is to her detriment.

Now they are running back to back critics of Juan on HLN...errrrr.

Why not an analysis of ALV?

Good morning all! Got to study before the trial, but a quick note on ALV:

I think she has likely been competent evaluating and treating those who have been truly been abused. But, I get the feeling she has never experienced a sociopath such as JA before, and she has finally come to grips with the fact that she got duped--either by JA's ability to manipulate, or by her own failure to connect the dots. That seems clear given the change in her demeanor since she first began testifying.

So, in one respect, I do feel for her if she truly believed JA was abused, given the limited evidence that the DT gave her. On the other hand, it's hard to believe that she didn't have the wherewithal to access the abundance of premeditation evidence that exists, or all of the other collateral evidence that makes it pretty clear that JA is a serial liar and master manipulator. Maybe it's simply a case of accepting a case that was a bit too outside her skill set.

IDK, I guess I am torn. But, if I could prove she lied about "misspeaking" about the pedo computer/analogue pic thing, then I would definitely have to rewrite this post.:twocents:

Thank you to the mods for all their hard work. I read the article and the rules. People, like me, are upset with the job ALV has done on the stand, seems like she will not view things for both sides in the same way. Regardless of my opinion of her as an "expert" in the trial, I would never seek her out in her personal life, or business practice. I hope others stop doing it as well.

With all that said, can I say something about this reporter? I hope so. This is the same reporter who caused a huge stir with the Hughes emails, writing an article that caused grief to the victim's family. He's also the same reporter who has continually made disparaging remarks about the prosecutor. He seems to have inside information on motions that will be filed by the defense, in advance of them being filed. I do not respect him, nor do I like his reporting. I think he sensationalizes things in the defenses favor. JMO

Regardless of his reporting in favor of the defense, I will abide by the rules of the forum I come to everyday...WS! Thank you for giving us a place to respectfully post about the trial. This trial has gotten to me and at times I have had to step away. I can't fathom taking a slaughtered victim and trying to paint him as a pedophile and abuser without one ounce of evidence. It's heart wrenching to see the victim's family.

Praying for justice for Travis and the Alexander family.

This is just my opinion.

I just want to know how Donavan is legally allowed in court when she is doing what she is doing....a mouthpiece for the defendant to trash the prosecution. I know, Jodi is not convicted yet. But it really REALLY seems like some kind of conflict of interest or something, eh don't know the right words to say right now....is there no law or court ruling that can stop this? The more I think about it, the more annoyed I get about it.

It also bothers me that even though once she is convicted she cannot profit, she obviously can via her fan club.

*annoyed*

um, is she completely unfamiliar with the rather inherently adversarial nature of that little thing we all like to call - TRIAL?

I'm sorry that ALV is being harassed (ie. phone call to her business, hate mail, etc) because I do not doubt that she is. But did she think that she was going ot testify, explain what a victim JA is and that the PT was going to just take her word for it?

Seriously?

Is she completely clueless as to what a cross examination looks like?

We all want for JA to get a fair trial. It's the American way. I think the outrage is a result of the fact that we also want Travis Alexander to get a fair trial.... And that sure as hell ain't happening.

Well, what if the jury brings their snark? Will that be unacceptable to Alyce, will she put them in a time-out?

Does anyone know how many more witnesses JM has on his list?
