I just want to know how Donavan is legally allowed in court when she is doing what she is doing....a mouthpiece for the defendant to trash the prosecution. I know, Jodi is not convicted yet. But it really REALLY seems like some kind of conflict of interest or something, eh don't know the right words to say right now....is there no law or court ruling that can stop this? The more I think about it, the more annoyed I get about it.

It also bothers me that even though once she is convicted she cannot profit, she obviously can via her fan club.

I truly am sorry if I caused ALV any emotional pain. That certainly is never my intention. Like others my biggest problem with her is that she is taking the word of an admitted liar and committing character assignation on a dead person who cannot defend himself. I will give her credit that she is taking the heat and sticking to her guns. Perhaps she really believes what she says but that doesn't mean she has to use her position as an expert on domestic violence to publicly state that opinion in a trial. She could have said no. She is a big girl and if she didn't know how unpopular her opinion was she sure found out soon enough. While I am sorry she is suffering distress I am not sorry for her. She can take some of the big paycheck and pay for some counselling and get over it. Travis can't get over it. He's dead.

Folks, I think there has been a misunderstanding. We aren't trying to stifle our members.

You don't have to like the defense team or their witnesses. You may express your displeasure and yes, even anger. We are only trying to avoid the name calling and name variations. Discussion of ALV's personal life and her business affairs are off limits. Only discussion about her testimony is allowed.

As an example:

You may post:

"I think ALV is lying."

What you may not post:

"ALV is a big fat liar."

Please carry on as usual with the above guidelines in mind.

I have zero interest in the supposed JA twitter account, but I am curious does anyone know what kind of phone privileges she has? How is it so unfettered??

in the timeline thread one of the days of video had a NG tour of the jail where arias lives and I cannot recall the exact amt of time but.. I believe she has pretty much free reign of the common area and phone privileges 23 hours a day????(she is in a high watch area but not isolation iirc.. I can just remember being shocked at how much time she could spend out of her cell!) So if she is calling Donovan collect and passing on her "info" to be tweeted I am not sure what anyone could do about it except maybe Juan could get the phone recordings from the jail if he thought it was worth it.

Did you see the motion to compel the other day: Arias has been keeping journals while in jail.. so I can just IMAGINE what is up next on rebuttal.

I'm thinking back to when he was crossing Lisa and attempted to put up the ghastly neck wound photo. JW jumped up immediately and there was an approach. JM didn't use it when they returned from sidebar.

Maybe the judge wouldn't allow it after Dr. Horn's testimony?

Just jumping off of your post to help clarify: disparaging comments mean name calling and other wise bashing someone to include posting doctored pictures or putting something in your signature line. It further means that we don't talk about the witness other than WHAT THEY ARE TESTIFYING ABOUT: re: we are not in the business of bashing. Describe what is being said, or what you see and your opinion.

That does NOT mean you have to lie and say something smells like roses when it does not. Just keep it clean.

ALV would say "I was hired in this case to see if there was domestic violence, Mr. Martinez. Not to investigate the crime scene/autopsy photos of the perpetrator. Clearly, Miss Arias did this in self-defense. She did confess. And honestly? Mr. Alexander was asking for this when he made Arias feel like a used prostitute when he forced her to have sex hours before he was killed."

Yes! I don't get the complaints that he is being too harsh with her.
She is trying to change the outcome of this trial with her biased opinions.
A dose of reality is in order..

Instead of personally tormenting these "expert" witnesses, I wish we could use the force of numbers to get REAL court reform.
Either have psych testimony completely disallowed since it is not scientific, or figure out a way to have a single neutral expert.

The system is the one at fault here - it gives these people a platform, a means to bolster their egos and believe their opinion is of value. It also gives them dump trucks full of money.

There are so many instances where it would be improper to have one single neutral expert, unless that expert were to testify as to all likely scenarios with reasons for or against, with their ultimate conclusion.

For example, in this case a big unanswered question is which came first, the gunshot or the knife. The medical examiner gave his testimony, which was based on his examination and did not take into account other forensic evidence.

IMO, if the DT could have found a forensic expert who would testify that the gunshot did come first, they would have produced one. I thus infer that the evidence does not support the gunshot first.
