I'm sorry, legal system, but this is what a mob looks like these days. It's electronic. Maybe you'd prefer that we show up with signs outside????

The reason it's so calm outside the courtroom is because there are online avenues to express public opinion. Public trials are public for a reason--so we can see justice in action. And when we see things we feel are unfair, we say so, whether it's with torches, marches, parades, boycotts, hacking, or whatever.

We have a court system so we won't have people tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail.... you can't shut up public outrage. It will find an avenue and it could be a lot worse than words on fora (plural of forum?).

How about the defendant demeaning the prosecutor who is the representative of the people. She has the RIGHT? Did I hear that? She has the right to tweet with her one phone call but we don't have the right to call her paid liar a paid liar?

I guess I missed a lot this morning.

I know this much, if you don't want to hear gossip, stay away from it. All sorts of whisperings go on in any community and institution, even church and temple. I learned to shut my ears and back away from any gossip.

If the DT or LV didn't listen to the crap out there, it would not be a problem. Why on earth would anyone in the centre of a big case even bother to check out social media????

Meanwhile, I think harassment at her place of business is wrong and harassment at any other time. But if you are going to state your expert opinion and take a stand in this circus, then you'd better have strategies to deal with it instead of coming across as a victim, so bullied and abused.

As if the DT is not manipulating all of this to their advantage.

Sorry to beat this horse but is there a recommended image size? I think from now on I will post small pics with links to larger ones :-)

I resize my pics in Paint program (PC) and keep the horizontal pixels below 650.

I've vented all my frustration and anger at the way Travis is being treated into knitting some gifts I plan to send to the sisters. I had to do something yesterday after seeing Sam crying like that. I can't imagine how horrendous it must be to see strangers talking about your loved one as if they knew him.

It's people like you who make WS such an awesome community. It never ceases to amaze me how many good, caring people we have here.

Wonder if she might threaten to not come back unless media is removed from the courtroom?

Media removed from a coutroom, that's not going to happen. She has to suck it up. She took on this job and the defenses would not have her on the witness stand unless she could testify and side with them and help Jodi's defense.

I keep shaking my head and saying "This is the best you got, Defense?"

However I do think some of these nutcases should back off on the tatics to critize her. It doesn't do any good cause the Jury is not supposed to know where she ranks in the general public anyway.

Enough said.

So now Wild says Alyce just went into chambers? Can't recall this happening with any other witness.

BIAS - ALV's prejudice in favor of the defendant

Buy Us - $300/hour paid to expert witnesses to demonstrate their BIAS.

Thanks. Good post. I agree. I can't type everything I want for fear of being banned! Best thing to say is 'I don't like ALV!'

When my son was a toddler and just started to talk I was driving one day and someone cut me off .... I jammed on the brakes and before I could say anything ... he blurted out .... "Stupid Effin' Jackazz!" ... I realized I had to watch my mouth. :blushing:

So what I started to do was temper myself by saying things about a driver who cut me off with an OHIO lic plate .. like .. "OH you must be from OOOOHHHIIIIOO!"

My son is almost 30 now... I was on the phone with him the other day while he was driving on the freeway ... He shouts out " Oh this guy in front of me must be from OHIO!!"... lol

With all this chaos of this trial I think it's a good idea to focus on the good things.

I am grateful that Lady Justice has given us the accidental photos of Travis being butchered. It's painful but will ensure that the person who did it will sit on death row.
I am grateful that we have Juan Martinez fighting for Justice. I don't think there is a better prosecutor out there.
I am grateful that thanks to the kindness and goodness of people (many of them from Websleuths) that Travis' loved ones are receiving support in many ways.
I am grateful that we are close to rebuttal.
I am grateful for Websleuths, all those who work hard to keep it running and all the members on here. It's much easier to deal with this trial with all of you around.

If Salman Rushdie can survive Jihad being waged on him for his opinions, I'm sure ALV can survive some cyber name calling..

I lived in the UK when the fatwa was declared.

I really enjoy reading all your posts, but after
reading all the admonishments, I'll probably continue to be a lurker. I'm just too darned opinionated.
