I think the mods need to create a new rule that posters can't bring up ice cream unless they plan to share with the whole class. :skip:

Lurkers join us and support justice for Travis. After all, that's why we are here.

LOL the Lurkers are sitting on their hands and after reading the warnings are saying...." gee whiz I am glad I didn't toss my two cents in with that Websleuth's crowd" or I might going to time out with JM or worse!

Of course Alyce would bail today. How convenient. Wilma can finish her questioning tomorrow just in time for Alyce to take home the jury questions to study for the weekend. I read a few people here predicting this would happen.

Even if you are right (and I hope you're not) as far as I am concerned on Wednesday JM backed the DT so far into a corner that no amount of studying over the weekend will be able to get them nor ALV out of said corner. As far as I am concerned I think this trial is a "done deal" with JA totally being found guilty.

I think that one and the previous one "Are you angry with me Mr. Martinez?" will stick with the jury deeply.. and really blew her credibility as a reliable and biased witness towards the defense. Right now IMHO she's as credible as Jodi was on the stand

The fact that she smirked when she said it made it fairly obvious (at least to me) that it was a well-rehearsed 'zinger.' Her in-court behavior has been astonishingly childish and petulant and I don't think the jury has missed it any more than we have.

WHAT !!! UGH Wish they would leave this family alone.
I'm sure getting talked to for her crying.

Nurmi was seen laughing in court yesterday. Perhaps they should talk to him instead.

I dont understand why all the TH's keep saying that JM is going to 'turn off' some of the jurors by his 'style'.... Don't most people know that JM is doing his job and expect that? I don't ever recall a prosecuter being warm and fuzzy with witnesses? This was a brutal murder fgs. Its not a parking ticket. :banghead:

I agree ttc. I also believe he is being FORCED to seem harsh because the Defense witnesses are trying every trick in the book not to be backed into a corner--or yes or no answer. How else is he supposed to do his job. He HAS to make certain points clear and if the witnesses do not want to answer him--I say HAVE AT IT!

Frankly I am amazed he has had the patience and calm demeanor he has. I don't know how he keeps his cool--I would have jumped over that witness stand long ago.

I would of so loved his response to LV's "Timeout" comment to have been an all out laugh while saying:what: "WHAT". Such a silly remark she made.

Telling the prosecutor in a capital murder case to take a time out should be grounds for contempt of court.. I can't believe this Judge didn't take her to task over that.

I think that the judge NOT correcting her made her look even more foolish. There's just no reason to not be polite and respectful on the stand. I think that people don't like seeing something like that--there certainly wasn't any laughter in the gallery this time!

Well we all know that Nurmi believes the jury is reading media so I'm sure he is doing his best to put out as many negative things about Juan and the "witch hunt" as he can in hopes it will sway one of the "lying jurors".

With all this chaos of this trial I think it's a good idea to focus on the good things.

I am grateful that Lady Justice has given us the accidental photos of Travis being butchered. It's painful but will ensure that the person who did it will sit on death row.
I am grateful that we have Juan Martinez fighting for Justice. I don't think there is a better prosecutor out there.
I am grateful that thanks to the kindness and goodness of people (many of them from Websleuths) that Travis' loved ones are receiving support in many ways.
I am grateful that we are close to rebuttal.
I am grateful for Websleuths, all those who work hard to keep it running and all the members on here. It's much easier to deal with this trial with all of you around.

ITA!! I think it's Divine Intervention that those "inadvertent" pics existed and that Travis is blessed with a highly skilled prosecutor. So often we follow these trials with SUCH frustration with unprepared representation. T
Regardless of the outcome we can't be left with the feeling that this went down without the hardest fought fight like we do often feel.
