Exactly, totally unexceptionable in any aspect. If I was physically beating my mother as a teenager I would have been taken RIGHT to therapy to figure out why I am acting out in such a violent way. There is something wrong with a kid you beats their parents.

I NEVER laid a hand on my mother then or now. And I have been extremely angry at her. I had some rough teenage years, I did need some counseling then and yet I STILL knew you do not kick your own mom. I can't believe she could do that as an adult!

Here's my take on Alyce: She's spent her entire "career" surrounded by her 1970-esqe, man-hating, man-blaming groupies who hang on her every man-hating, man-blaming word. They cheer her, they laugh at her lame jokes and idiotic 'band camp' stories. That's been her 'professional' life (and I use the word "professional" very loosely here.) She's operated in that vacuum for thirty years. She keeps talking because she believes her own press and she thinks if she just keeps 'splaining it to everyone, everyone will come around and agree that she's marvelously right in everything she says. Just like her fan base.
