That is surprising considering even football coaches cover their mouths on the sidelines during televised games. Since the trial is televised, I don't see how there can be a reasonable expectation of privacy if they don't bother to cover their mouths. Hrumph.

Just getting done watching the questions from today. Can't really say anything new here. She is certainly all over the place and it is becoming obvious that anything she says about Travis could equally (in fact more reasonably) be applied to Jodi. It's the essence of subjectivity and requires no degree/expertise at all, just a mind creative enough to interpret everything the way they want to see it.

It is more apparent now than ever before to me that she is desperately saying anything she can to free Jodi. Her beliefs are a religion to her and more important (in her mind) than any court or law. It's all justifiable if it's for the cause.

I notice she seems to be using a little bit o' neuro-linguistic programming with the constant references to rage, tirades, extreme abuse, etc. Have to plant those words/ideas in the jurors' heads! All of it is intended to plant an image of a guy in a shower who is so imbalanced and unstable, that he flies into a murderous MURDEROUS, life-threatening rage when a girl drops a camera. I mean that was the activating event we're supposed to believe sparked the incident, right? That she dropped a camera, he threatened to murder her, ran out of the shower, was shot in the head but was SO mad he kept a comin'!

I can only hope the legislature takes a look at this circus and figures out a way to bring some sanity into these trials.

Having said that, I think the jury is on the right path.

Who says the messages were for ALV? We don't know who they were for, I think most thought they were for Matt McCartney.

If Jodi wanted to get info to ALV, she wouldn't have to use secret messages, she could do it through her attorneys and that is not monitored.

I think the juror that asked that question knew Jodi meant that for someone else but wanted to see if ALV knew about Jodi's secret messages. I think that's a really smart juror.:twocents:

Yeah, there is one juror who is reaching to believe jodi just "snapped " that day because of how she was treated. And I think it is one because the questions sound the same. But the questions are usually only one or two together and then they stop, which tells me this isn't a strong opinion but a speculative one. They are grasping. These questions also appear to have been asked before it was revealed Travis was extremely afraid of Jodi. All the other questions were pro state and they seemed to have been fueled by Juan 's cross. I have hope that the more attentive jurors will be able to set them straight or that they don't make the cut anyway. And Juan 's rebuttal is coming where it will be shown that the shelf could not ha e supported her weight.

Also, Paul asked a question during testimony regarding a text. So I paid attention to the question s related to that and they were all very interesting, especially the one about Travis wanting to distance himself from Jodi.

ITA. There is one, but only one. The two questions (I think there were two) from this particular juror are pinging crime of passion. They asked the same thing, worded identically when Samuels was on the stand. There could be a lone rogue juror who has gone through something similar.

What I'm hoping for is that this juror is just including all the possible options and not clambering for a hold out position. As you said, after we reached Juan's cross, as we saw with Samuels before, the questions ceased.

I'm thinking that this juror is taking everything into account, considering they may be on board to greenlight the DP. It's a heavy decision.

As far as the question of Travis and Jodi being both victim and perpetrator.

Has ALV never heard of "passive aggressive?" Because it seems obvious to me that Jodi is very passive aggressive, and she's acted it out not only on JM, but also in the texts to Travis--and the things she did to Travis to get him upset. She did these things to him, then came back all sweet, "Oh, did I do that?"

The secret message testimony was quite a while ago. It's good to know at least one of them hasn't forgotten her sneakiness.

Another jury question I hope gets asked, "Does it make sense that TA would be understanding and even helpful (making calls to insurance company) when JA ruined the BMW but then a month and a half later he would try to kill her for dropping a camera?"

The DT doesn't have a shred of tangible proof, but bet they'll revisit this again. I'm thinking the sex tape will be played again at that point, where ALV will nod and assent like the dutiful bobblehead that they need her to be.

Unfortunately, TA did say it. It has been twisted like silly putty out of context naturally, but it's there. I sincerely hope the jurors are savvy enough to know that the comment in no way is indicative of an actual, real-time pedophile.

Good thing the DT was dumb enough to mix genders, claiming he was in possession of a picture of a little boy. Almost never happens with a bonafide abuser- they have a targeted gender.

Did you have the impression, as I did, that that remark on the tape was something they had been through before. That JA wanted to play the "little school girl"? The first time I heard that tape, it seemed it was just their personal sex talk. JA, if IRC, doesn't miss a beat, but is obviously setting the tone.

I have a question for the good folks here. Why do you think she went so psycho on this one man? She definitely exhibited stalker-like behavior with previous boyfriends, and crossed boundaries, but what drove her to slaughter Travis Alexander to the extent that she did? What was different about this relationship compared to her previous BF's? I can't quite wrap my mind around that question. Psychopath? Sociopath? Maybe so, but why did it manifest itself when it did? Don't these types of killers work up to that kind of crime, and it starts when they're fairly young? I wish we had more info on what her earlier years were really like. It might give us a bit more perspective on what she is.

Brits - any insight? I love your posts on PD, and I bet you could shed some light on this for me :blowkiss:.
