Travis lied about sex. That's it. Many people do. Nothing sinister. Jodi, however, lied about murder -- wrote fake journal entries where she feigned ignorance on TA's death, deceived law enforcement in two interviews, lied to the nation on 48 hours while shedding crocodile tears as she recounted her daring escape from the intruders. And AVL calls that "not lying", just being afraid. She's disgusting and she deserves ALL THAT STRESS.

Personally i believe when juan was really sticking it to her (JA)and she covered her face she was laughing not crying, the last question her left eyebrow goes waaaay UP indicating deceit. She was faking shame and has no remorse. I truly believe she was laughing at the prosecotor, NOT crying. The actions are all there the emotions are not. She fakes them because she doesnt feel them. Imho.:seeya:

That's actually Jodi's Twitter account. There was a story on Fox that I watched last night that talked about that. Jodi talks on the phone with her friend, Donovan, every night and tells her what to tweet on her page. They did an interview with Donovan about that as well. Everything being tweeted on that page is Jodi's words through Donovan since Jodi doesn't have access in jail.
Two things that her tweet to NG show me.
Good example of the fact that she is not passive.
It also shows how sarcastic and insincere the "have a nice day" comments to Travis were!! It angers me to think how ALV tried to use her snarky comments to show that Travis was unkind and she was not. Ughhh.

What bothers me is that it's obvious that ALV has based her opinion of Travis mostly on his texts to JA, including the rant on May 26, 2008, as well as his conversations with other woman. To her it seems that he personifies the typical abusive male, which is far from the truth. The texts to JA were out of anger and frustration and probably not the best way to handle things but it isn't an indication of Travis as a person. There is no doubt that Travis had a short fuse as far as verbally and maybe some of the things he has said may be construed loosely by someone like ALV as abusive, but it's a far cry from physical abuse and certainly not warranting the butchering that JA gave him.
As I've said before, Travis may be considered a player and maybe even a jerk when it came to women, probably just because he was so inexperienced with them, but he was not a pedophile or abuser. He was a human being who had some issues, like all of us. She has no right, having never met the man, spoken with him or even with anyone who knew him (other then JA, who of course lied), to make any kind of judgments about him. And given her assessment of JA her opinions are seriously flawed and biased in any case. It seems the jury sees this, too, and hopefully will discount her opinion as worthless because it is.
As someone said, because ALV has so much experience with abusive men, when all you have is a hammer then everything is a nail.

Who cares that Travis lied about his virginity? His sex life isn't anyone else's business.

She deceived him because he had no idea she was recording him. She had a plan for these recordings future use.

I like the question the jury asked about her grandparents and the gun theft.

Think the jurors are connecting the dots. I'm just worried that this trial will never end because the defence recrossing forever.
Ok attorneys??
Someone asked earlier if wilmot going to lunch with ALV and MIT specialist right or wrong.

BBM

There is nothing wrong with them going to eat together. My dad was a defense attorney. We used to have his experts come to dinner quite often while they discussed cases. There is no conflict of interest or anything. These experts were hired by the DT and so they are going to have many meetings throughout the trial and before.

Interesting point you make. Public officials do not get to sue for slander or liable, so when you (expert witness in a trial) are getting paid from tax funds, should you be exempt?

Of course trying to sabotage her livelihood is wrong and must not be allowed. People posting on Amazon should be held accountable on an individual basis.

And, lastly, I do think the stress is affecting her health; it is affecting a lot of people's health here. So, as the saying goes, "If you can't take the heat, don't build the fire." :moo:
Expert witnesses, no matter whose side they are on, are no more than hired guns. So, it's not surprising that people don't like them, especially if they are testifying in favor of an unpopular murderer and we taxpayers have to foot the bill. We should be allowed to express our opinions (not necessarily on private forums, like WS, but in general). The witnesses were not subpoenaed- they went on board willingly. They are educated people, so they should have expected a negative response.

As far as the negative comments on Amazon go, we have every right to post our opinions on there. That's what it's for. If anyone feels that the author of a book is a fraud, they should express it. If I were considering purchasing the book, I'd want to see reviews.

If ALV, or any expert witness, gets stressed while on the stand, again, they put themselves in that position. They sold their souls and now they have to 'pay the piper'. I've been getting very stressed out just watching the experts lie. Maybe I should contact the Judge about that!

How did AVL respond to the question concerning the gun theft?

  • #768
Just out of curious - Does ALV believe in the Death Penalty? She reminds me of one of those old hippies from Long Beach, Cali that would not believe in the DP. (Which would make her even more biased). I said earlier, I wish one of the Juror questions would be "Do You Believe in The DEATH Penalty?". I would like to see the DT crew's response to such question from the jurors...

EXACTLY.

ALV is trying to say that the killer was trying to de-escalate things during the angry texts. Since when is saying ' Have a nice day' de-escalation? It is snarky, passive aggressive biotchy-ness...

Juan needs to call Deanna Reed to the stand as a rebuttal witness. She was in a long term relationship with him and gave statements to 48 hours denying that any physical abuse took place. She stated (from memory), "Travis controlled his temper. Sure we got in fights, but they normal couple fight. Nothing physical."

In fact, he needs to call a lot of people to undo the damage done to Travis's character and trash Jodi's. Starting with Deanna.

Not one person has come forward to say that Travis every was physically violent in any way, not just with people but objects as well. No one has stated that they have seen him throw anything or hit anything, human or inanimate. If he were as unable to control himself to the degree that JA alleges then he wouldn't have been the success he was with PPL. You need a lot of people skills to be able to sell successfully and we have all seen how charismatic he was. Bad tempered people aren't usually successful sales people.

How did AVL respond to the question concerning the gun theft?

The question did not specify the gun. IIRC, it was ' were you aware of the break in at her grandparents two days after the angry texts?'

And she replied, YES.

. In the first case a 26-year-old woman threatened
and intruded on her former boyfriend for more than
a year, rented an apartment near him, and shot him
to death with a .357 magnum revolver in front of his
apartment. Psychological testing indicated an aver-
age IQ. Her evaluating psychologist and psychiatrist
concurred that she had a borderline personality dis-
order with antisocial features.

In the second case, a
41-year-old woman engaged her former husband in
five years of vandalism, threats, telephone calls, tres-
passing, property damage, and financial and child
custody disputes. She then shot and killed him and
his new wife with a .38 caliber revolver in the early
morning hours as they lay sleeping in their bed.
31
At
trial, her diagnosis was major depression and border-
line personality disorder with narcissistic and histri-
onic features. One of us corresponded with this in-
dividual during the course of this study, and she
wrote of her victim,

What I woukd like to kmow is if Jodi skinned the cat for her other two boyfriends prior to Travis.. They need to testify if she did!

Travis is being blamed for that too , that she did it for him cause he's a pedo...jenny brought the skinned cat today again! What I don't understand where the defense was trying to go with that issue. First she says he liked little boys, so why would she skin the cat to look like a little girl?? is he accused of liking little boys or lil girls by the defense?

The DT thinks JA liked every gender, every race, every mammal, every fish and all the ET's throughout our galaxy...yep that's what they think.

I think Bobby Juarez is prettier than Jodi.....

How perfect is it that JC got the interview with Donovan? Way to go, Jean! All that hard work you do for the defense has paid off!! Big time!! You got an exclusive with Donovan!!! Wow

Who cares that Travis lied about his virginity? His sex life isn't anyone else's business.

I asked my husband earlier, "since when is it a crime to keep your sexual life PRIVATE ?". The jury knows this but ALV insists that he is leading a double life because he keeps his sexual life private. She opened a big hole for JM to drive that truck thru IMO.....

I just heard that Ebay has shut down Jodi Arias' account, no artwork for sale there anymore. Darn. BUT, now Jodi has started a website for selling it. I'm sure compliments of Donovan.

No one would of bought her art work before she murdered Travis. I so dislike her.:furious:

My boyfriend has been listening to me talk about this trial for weeks without much interest but today I got him to watch the 48 hours. He was surprised at how unemotional she was and how believable she was. If he didn't know that she recanted that version for the newer one he would have thought her story was possible even though it is so far fetched. ALV rationalizes her belief that JA isn't a liar because she tells such bad stories. That isn't the point. It isn't the story she is telling but how easily and believably she tells it. She displays none of the obvious signs that a normal person might show when they were telling a whopper. She looks you right in the eye and tells her story with all sincerity so good that you begin to question your own ability to tell the truth from fiction. Of course what she is saying is so ridiculous that no reasonable person would believe it, but she tells it in such a way that you find yourself thinking "Maybe it really did happen the way she says it" even though you know it just isn't possible. She shows no stress or worry or fear of being caught. She most likely could pass a hundred lie detectors because when she is telling it she believes it, until it doesn't serve her purpose any more and then she comes up with a newer version that she equally believes in. She seems to be able to change her reality at will.
