Good Morning Everyone!:seeya:

What an exciting afternoon we had yesterday in the courtroom.

I don't know if the Judge had mentioned this before but yesterday for the first time I heard her say the questions were in the order they were submitted. I am glad she gave us that roadmap because it does make a difference, imo.

I get the feeling that there may be someone on that jury who has experienced their own domestic violence or has a family member who has. Someone that knows about DV. When the question was asked along these lines "Does a victim usually snap and kill their abuser?' showed me they are educated to the facts that NO THEY DO NOT. Rarely does a victim ever kill their abuser. So that was a good question and an educated question based on personal knowledge, imo.

The questions as they progressed on became more and more pointed and accusatory against ALV. They simply think she is either biased against all men period or has been hoodwinked by JA as others have. Whatever they believe...........they don't find credibility in her testimony.

What made me smile is how many of their questions were Juan's questions when she refused to answer him directly. Priceless and it shows who they are listening to more.

All and all it was a wonderful hopeful day for Travis. I picked up on the feeling that some of the jury is highly incensed and offended that Travis has been drug through the mud without anything to support it other than the words of the defendant.

This also makes me feel that she may get death.

IMO

:yesss:

Remember the "pamphlets" JA supposedly gave to Travis to encourage him to get help for his "issues"? I have wondered if in fact either Travis or JA's mom actually gave HER a pamphlet suggesting clinics to go to for help and she has twisted the story to fit her own fairy tale.

Travis was a normal hot blooded American, young un-married male, who was obviously troubled by his own morals in Christianity VS his normal carnal desires.

His only 'issue' was that Jodi was in his life.

I just love the juror questions.. I noted that they are in order as they came in so went over to the poll thread to see where they left off... and it seems that they are questions that came in during the April 9th cross by Juan (re: thank to you the juror that puts the dates on the questions!)

I further noted that the testimony on that date re: the purple plum question about why LaViolette looked over at Arias and smiled and shrugged was most likely in relation to what Juan was saying about other PP staff members saying that arias was manipulative with men!

This jury is so on it! I am looking forward to today! I bet there are a BUNCH more questions!

In the observer thread Katiecool said that testimony starts today at 0900 (1200 est)

Good day all, Looking forward to another day of thought provoking jury questions. Also looking forward to many facial looks of dismay on the defense side of the courtroom as they realize that the jury is as skeptical to their story as the questions seem to indicate. Thoughts and prayers to the Alexander family as Justice for Travis gets closer.

ALV mentioned a couple times he said he wanted to "pork a little girl" on the sex tape. I never heard this. Like you said, only the comment about her sounding like a girl having her first orgasm. Those two statements are not interchangeable.

Did he actually say he wanted to "pork a little girl" or is ALV being misleading?

Pretty sure it was "cork" and yes Travis did say it in the tape. However, I believe the case can be made that Jodi is the master mind behind this little girl stuff. It is easy to say that she removed hair from her girl parts because Travis liked it, it is easy to say Travis liked the braids and spidey undies. However, I have this feeling after seeing the pictures of Jodi with Bobby in her braids and superman shirt - it is more likely Jodi used the fantasy on her sexual partners. With all the evidence out there, it seems to me there is plenty to support that Jodi instigated this roll playing and the fella's were dumb enough to go with it. JMO - she's a flame thrower.

Huh, JA "tweets" through DB apparently, ""A certain amount of scourging is necessary for the development of the human soul." - Edgar Cayce"

scourge (skûrj)
n.
1. A source of widespread dreadful affliction and devastation such as that caused by pestilence or war.
2. A means of inflicting severe suffering, vengeance, or punishment.
3. A whip used to inflict punishment.
tr.v. scourged, scourg·ing, scourg·es
1. To afflict with severe or widespread suffering and devastation; ravage.
2. To chastise severely; excoriate.
3. To flog.

This is O/T my apologies. I just heard on Headline News that a mail bomb intended for Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Apraio was intercepted and disarmed by Federal authorities. Could this just be a weird coincidence? This person on trial clearly has many zealous "supporters".

just went back and listened to Samuels (he is so cooperative compared to ALV) on day 36.....after listening to the exchange between he and JM......seems he READ about the kicking of Sandy...it was in April of 2008....thinking it was in her journal....I need to go listen again, but thought I would mention this if anyone else would like to listen to is also....now I need to find if JW followed up on it, and how....I know some things she just skipped right over with him, such as the "get out of jail free card".....

I say, I have the strangest feeling that I am going to be smelling burning bacon or justice by noon.

Can someone please <modsnip> tell me what it means to "cork" someone? Is it just a synonym for "f'ing" them?

IN my opinion the comment Travis made was in reference to a girl pleasuring herself and reaching climax for the first time. Icky, of course but not far outside of average dirty phone sex talk, Especially if Jodi liked to play the little girl.
It's the only recording of their intimate discussions that we've heard. We have no idea of how their fantasies came about. He made no reference to wanting to have sex with a child or to see a child sexually:moo:

They were role playing in my opinion and in that role play Jodi was the dirty little girl.

Totally agree with this.

Sheriff Apraio has many detractors for treating criminals as criminals (way to go Sheriff). Was it a fire bomb by any chance ?

When you're right, you're really right, Charlie. Spot on, and could be extended to the phone sex, pictures, you name it. I, for one, am no longer willing to give JA any benefit of the doubt where "coincidences" are concerned.

I think I recall the kick happening when her mom went to Mesa to help her get ready to move back to Yreka, if that narrows down your search any.

JA was advanced sexually. She used it to her benefit. Most men, sorry guys, from the age group she was in are into sex and think about it a lot. I heard on some radio talk show or tv that men in the age group from 15 to 25 think about sex in some way every 3 seconds. I guess we could research that but regardless, probably close to true.

My thought process on the 'bare' lady parts was more for the oral sex. He may have liked it but because he enjoyed oral sex not because of the connotations to immature girl parts. kwim?

Anyway, I don't buy the sex was part of the abuse because I am pretty sure JA was light years ahead of TA in that regard. He had fantasies, JA knew sex was power and paydirt. IMHO

But I did miss the 'cork' part. I think I started tuning out when I realized JA was going to really do it and fake an orgasm...seriously. I know I did.

and the last few questions:

Q: "On April 9th, at approximately 11:33 AM, when discussing Jodi waitressing at the Purple Plum, (missed middle part) you looked at Jodi, shrugged your shoulders and gave a half smile. Why do you continue doing this?"

Q: "Considering the lies Jodi told after killing Travis, why would you believe the things she told you about what happened before the killing?

Q: "Hypothetically, if you were to discover that Jodi had actually exaggerated, rather than understated, the physical abuse events that she told you about, do you think it would be necessary for you to revise your opinion regarding the degreed or type of abuse in the relationship?"

Q: "In a verbal discussion, often facial expressions and body language can be seen and tone or inflection can be heard, additionally, in an interview, clarifying statements can be made and clarifying questions can be asked, do you agree?"

Q: "When assessing this case, to which did you give more weight, written or verbal communication?"

Q: "Do you feel that being unable to interview Travis Alexander gives Jodi Arias an unfair advantage in telling their shared story of abuse?"

Q: "Are you aware of phone conversations that were made either before, during or after various series of text, instant messages, emails, that were made after they were viewed?"

Q: "Did you ask Jodi if phone calls were ever part of those exchanges?" (IMs, emails, texts)

Q: "Of the 18 forensic cases, how many were cases where a male was the victim of abuse and not a perpetrator?"

Q: "You testified that when conducting a couple assessment, family of origin of both parties is pursued. You pursued family of origin for Travis in assessing him as a perpetrator. Why did you not pursue family of origin for Jodi, in assessing her as a victim?"

Does anyone know what happened there? Its been part of the story I can't find much information on.

Other than there was a disagreement and mom said the heck with it she is going home?

Initially I was thinking that she sent her mom home because she was staying after all no matter what.

K

This was during JM's cross exam of Samuels where they discuss DSM IV and PTSD factors.

Starting here is where JM drops the 'Jodi abused her mother' bombshell in the "Irritability Or Outbursts of Anger" (D2) which was present BEFORE she ever met TA.

Then Samuels, due to his feelings for the defendant -- and $300/hour -- starts trying to split hairs about the DEGREE to which it was present.
