Here's a gem from Arias' art selling website:

About Me

“Since I was a child, I’ve been drawn to art. I have been privileged to study under the guidance of two very gifted teachers. One, I remember only as Mr. B, the art teacher at Orcutt Junior High School, who I’m sure has long since retired. He granted me creative freedom to veer from the linear syllabus and follow my own inclinations. Richard Rengal, my high school art teacher and a true master of fine art, instilled me with the confidence in my ability that I would carry into the future and do still today. It is in large part due to his ceaseless belief in my skill that I have continued my artistic pursuits years after I last walked out of his classroom.”

When you have art class in junior & senior high school, it's called "studying under the guidance of ... very gifted teachers...[one] a true master of fine art...[who] has ceaseless belief in [her] skill?" :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I say, what a steaming load of manure.

While I actually do believe Travis was a virgin before he unfortunately hooked up with Jodi, I don't believe he never masturbated before he met her. He was by all accounts, a healthy, red-blooded American male; I can't buy that he wasn't well acquainted with Rosy Palm and Her Five Sisters. He may have been ashamed of it because of his religious beliefs, but that doesn't mean he didn't indulge. At least, I hope he did!

I tend to think he didn't mean 'never' literally in the sense that it had never happened. More so that it was far from a routine or habit for him before JA.

Maybe to better state my point: If you force the Defense to put on a case, and you know the case they will put on [which the Prosecution most certainly did], then there is really no complaint to be made--because the Defense hand has been forced.

IMO

Sorry, I must have missed the prosecution complaining. I have only heard that from the defence, by way of unlimited Motions for Mistrial, etc.

6 year relationship and they didn't have sex? Not buying it at all.

and how many times did ALv repeat her claim that Travis never had long term relationships :what:

  • #1,385
I have been thinking about that comment the past few days. ALV had the NERVE to say that to JM, she normally counsels BATTERERS (men) and to compare JM to that group was totally uncalled for. She should have been held in CONTEMPT just for the meaning bubbling under the surface of that comment.

I am LIVID at most of her answers to jurors questions. She has an agenda and she's making sure she drags TA's name through the mud furthering it. She appears to actually be angry at TA, as evidenced by her trying to add little zingers during her testimony (ex. TA "hates 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬", she said it twice).

She also seems to want to "neutralize" any bias the jury may have concerning her lifestyle by mentioning her children every chance she gets. JM objected to most of those comments, as they are totally irrelevant to the case.

I would like to see ALV go down in flames due to her "character assassination" of the VICTIM Travis Alexander, murdered in COLD BLOOD by Jodi Arias.

ALV did not show one sniff of compassion or sorrow for Travis who was murdered. ALV had the nerve to apologize to JA for having to read her intimate journals etc. and yet she has no problem with TA's texts and emails put on display for the world.

During the jury questions her hatred towards Travis was so obvious it's very scary.

If I were a man who had ALV as my child custody evaluator I would have been on the phone to my lawyer and/or the court to have that changed. ALV has proven she cannot be objective.

Alyce would regard the masturbation statement as an "evil lie", but it was to exalt and flatter Jodi's sexual prowess as part of their phone sex. Not meant to be taken seriously.

Given the fact that much of it reads like a tacky bodice ripper (TA described as a 'playboy?' Srsly? What year is this again) I'm going to bet that most of it was crafted by the murderess,

BBM! :floorlaugh: What truth thou doest speaketh.

  • #1,388
Okay which one of y'all sent the bomb to sherrff Joe? (Just saw news story on Tv)

Wonder if it was meant for JA?

My opinion is that it may have been a male or female that loves JA. As to the question of whether it's a male or female is simply because I'm not sure what type of person would do such a thing.:blushing:

ps, I didn't name any names, right!

...she insists that Jodi was a victim of DV when Jodi was never trapped by the relationship ...

Around these parts, we call that the bottom line.

The "waxing blame" is about as dumb as "my feet hurt due to my excessively impractical high heels, so men are to blame".

As far as I can make out, as a student of sociological gynecology and "The Junk" Studies, the depilatory trend has a few aspects:

1. The overall trend towards hair removal. Really, look at some nudes from the history of photography. Seems as soon as exposure times were fast enough to allow subjects more mobile than a rock, people were taking photo naughties. I defy you to find a nice, demure Carte De Vista nude of a perfectly nice young lady who wasn't also as hairy as you please in every area hair naturally sprouts. I could be wrong, but from old advertising, I have an impression that pit shaving wasn't even a thing until the 1920s, probably due to a complete move away from 19th Century women's clothing that persisted until WWI.

2. The advent of bathing suits which were cut in such a way that some form of hair removal was necessary not only for aesthetic reasons, but because tufts could get pinched. Also, as a commuter and recreational cyclist, the shaving done for that activity has nothing to do with aerodynamics and a lot to do with the effects of chafing and what happens at the juncture of body hair and elasticized Lycra. My bike shorts are actually ringed with a gasket-like rubber seam at the bottom of the leg, and that can pinch.

3. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 movies. The idea being leaving a clear line-of-sight to the bits people like to see in action. 'Nuff said. Said industry can also be blamed for the evolution from the "natural" to the "landing strip", the "pubic topiary landscaping" and the dreaded "Hitler".

You can see the single thread running through that is "if people don't see it, we don't shave it". If that's the case, I encourage women to shave as much as they want, and then come 'round to my place, 8-ish.

None of the above has anything to do with pedophilia any more than women shaving their legs and armpits could also be an attempt to preserve a neotonous (juvenile) appearance. Maybe there's something to do that, but both men and women try to appeal by being youthful and, in my case, actually work hard so as to never grow up.

The idea that shaving, considering all the factors that go into it, is imposed on women by the evil child rapist patriarchal conspiracy is just another one of those "just so" stories where people start with their cynical little baggage-laden conclusion. Which, like many of these types of observations, tell you a lot more about the flea-butt narrow mind of the person making it.

Always appreciate your informative post:seeya:

I went on Urban Dictionary to look up a few of those phrases for myself and out of curiosity typed in ja's name and 3 holed wonder reference came up as the meaning. I almost fell over from laughing.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jodi+arias

:floorlaugh: Careful with that Urban Dictionary. (you can't unsee it) I will never look at Tossed Salad the same way. And I never should have looked at that very naked disgusting, ugly, horrible photo of JA. Ugh!

Naturally, it goes without saying that if Einstein has chosen to pursue her graphic arts talents, she must first have labored under the tutelage of great masters. That explains the hint of Da Vinci I detected in her line drawing style. Bravo, Maestro!

One of the juror questions to AVL was "Do you feel that being unable to interview Travis gives JA an unfair advantage in telling their shared story of abuse?"

AVL answered she got most of her information regarding Travis from his close friends.

Good Morning to All! IIRC she said she did NOT interview anyone other than JA personally. Someone please correct me if I am wrong about this.

Morning!!

I was quoting the answer AVL gave to the jury question (which is bolded).

You are correct about AVL giving different answers to similar questions.

My point was = why didn't AVL interview any of Travis's friends? She took the word of the Hughes in answering this jury question.

The ninja story was abandoned in 2010 after Samuels indicated he didn't believe her ninja story. Alyce didn't meet her until 2011.

Anyone remember WHEN the defense filed saying they were going to claim self-defense?

  • #1,395
That would be our and public opinion only. The State does not submit to blackmail under any conditions.

Precisely....you are not doing the State a "favor" by agreeing to plead to lesser charges with a reduced sentence when the evidence is so heavily stacked against you. The State has the right to say thanks, but no thanks.

It's simply ridculous isn't it. If there are claims of pedohpilia then law enforcement has many ways to investigate a person's life to discover the truth. The only allegation has come posthumously, and from the lying defendant.

A paper supposedly fluttered theatrically to the floor unseen by the world (except JA) and ALV stirs in the 'teen orgasm' statement as cast-iron corroboration. I call it a stitch-up and if TA were alive he would be able to dispel this cr&p easily.

It's a fabricated distraction, among many others, and who can blame Samantha for shedding tears when JM sticks up for her brother's reputation.

I'm glad the defense went with the pedophile thing because it reveals the total weakness of the case and I think that factor will be a major influence on the penalty that is given.

I keep trying to get in the heads of the defense attorneys and figure out what they were thinking or how they were trying to piece together this self defense claim. When they rehearsed the trial and played it out in their minds before it got started, it must have looked much different to them. I think they believed that the pedophile thing would have a strong impact and prejudice the jury against Travis. I have to believe that the defense attorneys got so locked into their client's BS that they lost perspective on how totally absurd this would come across to real people in the real world.

The defense has done their best to muddy the waters and obfuscate the real issues, which are in fact very simple. The issues that are being discussed are really not relevant at all to the matters that the jury must decide.

I believe that the defense intended to cobble together a case of self defense that had at it's cornerstone Travis' drive to keep secret his pedophile urgings -- that was supposed to be the secret life that would have made him feel so threatened by Jodi and given him such strong motivation to silence her. However, the whole pedophile thing fell flat, and the jury didn't buy it -- and neither of Jodi's experts even seemed to believe it or put much stock in that as a key factor in the relationship between them.

Since that didn't work, the secret sex life is now the back up "double life" that is supposed to have provided such a threat and such motivation, but that just doesn't seem to have the same force. Especially since the whole history of abuse is not believable, as the defense would have liked.

Because Nurmi left the Public Defender's office and went into private practice specializing in defending people with sex-offense based charges, I've long believed that he had seen the looks on the jurors' faces when they heard testimony about what his clients had done. He figured he get the same reaction when Jodi told the masturbating-to-the-photo story. Instead, nobody believes her. Must have come as something of a shock.

I read what you said on your other post. The Defense case does have the feel of a work in progress lol.

The whole pedophile thing falls flat and, even if they think it's true, which I doubt, it should have been left out. Could Jodi have forced them to put it in?

Men leading secret lives can become very dangerous. Not only when their secret is threatened with exposure, but also, as ALV said, these men become abusive to their partners in direct proportion to the guilt they feel.

We have been taught by the media that if a man is cheating on his wife or girlfriend, it means she is not giving him what he needs at home. Therefore, the woman cheating with him should feel justified and no guilt. The other woman might think differently, though, if she knew that man goes home and abuses his wife because of the guilt he feels.

Leading a double life puts a huge strain on the man, and therefore, on the whole family.

The 'double life' is the heart of the Defense case. They have just not presented it very well.

IMO

BBM.

Sorry, I have no idea how you think "we have been taught" this by the media. Can you provide an example? Because, I've never heard anyone in the media proffer such things. Maybe you mean this sort of idea has been presented on "Mad Men"? Of course, that wouldn't be the media and would reflect the notions of another time.

Maybe everybody's wishing they did that now.

Nice to meet you, too!

That's fine. You just can't complain, though, about the horror show we're witnessing and Travis' memory being dragged through the mud.

IMO

Sure we can complain. And we shall. Just because a murderer places demands upon her trial in a form of blackmail does NOT justify us being passive and not complaining about the travesty they are committing against an innocent man who was brutally murdered. Why would anyone agree to HER terms of blackmail in order to give her a cushy lighter sentence? That would be INSANE!! To even reflect and feel that this disgusting woman should get an easy sentence is just mind boggling to me.

I believe the US government's stance: "We do not negotiate with terrorists" fits well in this case.

Thanks. That means that Jodi was playing up for Alyce, pretending to "minimize" the abuse and donning other stereotypical characteristics of battered women.

Yes, she probably learned from the books given to her by Samuels and probably her attorneys. I do think Alyce was duped.
