I  when ALV admitted that the "no jury will ever convict me" comment by Jodi was a "foolish thing to say."

Definitely one thing that ALV got right! :highfive:

JM should ask her what word would be good to describe this statement by the defendant:

"If I killed Travis, then I would beg for the death penalty."
:what:
:what:

She will NOT get death...all it takes is one juror to not agree and lesser degree of sentence.
Just am thinking I doubt it if all would really want her dead? Nope I think not..convicted yes in jail yes death no way...

I disagree, only because the disdain from the ones that ask questions is deep and I think they will be able to convince the doubters. I am hoping for death (only b/c that is what JA fears and TAs family wants) but LWOP will be fine with me too. I think she would kill again if ever out.

Probably O/T but I'm no implant expert and have nothing against them (in fact if I could convince myself to spend the money on them I would have them) but don't they have to have "maintenance" done every 10 years or so? Would the taxpayers have to flip the bill for that?

I can't see where anything would be done unless there was a health risk, since they are the result of a cosmedic, elective surgery, not due to any existing or pre-existing medical condition.

I certainly hope not! The death penalty is cruel and should be outlawed. What JA did is horrible, but life in prison is the correct punishment. I'm glad to know there's the option for the lesser sentence.

Not aimed at you at all, but some of the posts here cheering on the death penalty make me absolutely horrified.

My guess is that she has worked with defense teams in the past on real abuse cases where they showed her everything - because it was damning against the abuser. She likely never conceived of a case where her information would be so cherry-picked. Clearly, DT did her no favors in limiting her.

she said she would have QUIT if she didn't believe in this case. so how could she have believed in it this much if she never even SPOKE to other women TA dated, or his friends or family? she didn't know one thing about him except what they gave her, but she's SURE of her assessment of him.

wouldn't common sense alone tell her she wasn't getting the WHOLE story, and was only being given what the DT provided her?

That's what I understand. They'll probably just remove them when the time comes.

They're not going to go out of the way for anyone on death row - I read they will pull your tooth, rather than work on it. So, yeah, there's that.

Counsel is back into chambers. Juan calls Samantha into there as well as #JodiArias. We are still waiting.

---

Is Samantha the family representative? I mean does the Alexander family have someone who speaks on behalf of them?

I think she is the sister who is a police officer, so she would be a good representative.

What was JW's last question? I needed an early recess ;)

Darn it, you are about to make me feel sorry for her...actually though, I have to wonder exactly how much input Jodi herself had into the items provided to ALV. It is hard for me to accept that real lawyers would actually stoop this low, seriously.

Well we are getting close to the end of the court day.

Please tell me they won't end up on eBay :P

wilmott was practically speaking in tongues today. she's right on the edge, i think. she needs the weekend REAL bad.

Wilmott just needs to realize she will never in her lifetime be an attorney like Mr. Martinez. All her objections are so crazy thinking she is breaking his train of thought. He is already miles ahead of her before she gets the word objection out. I really dislike her and her conduct in a courtroom. If I need to watch Gidget I can catch it later on TV.

the other day, Jodi was the big attorney - mouthing objections and taking notes etc... Now she sits there coloring.

You are so charitable towards her! Am I the only one who thinks she is subtly saving her skin by making these "little" comments? She was originally hired as the Mitigation Specialist. She knew the score and is falling back on a PLANNED excuse of "plausible deniability" JMHO...:moo:

I respectfully disagree. This is a death penalty qualified jury and the pictures and the facts in this case leave very little mitigating factors for Jodi IMO.

I think she's got a date with the executioner in the future. Her crime is what the DP is for IMO.
