I don't think there is anything sneaky going on with juror 11 being dismissed. The judge said "As you all know, juror #11 is ill".

Perhaps she spoke to juror, and they didn't want to hold up proceedings? It is getting close to the end, so perhaps just carry on without me? I'm not sure, but I just don't think there is anything weird here. :twocents:

I apologize then. I didn't hear that JSS said "As you all know". I just heard the tail end that "is dismissed for the duration of the trial". I didn't even hear what juror no. it was.

So perhaps there isn't anything hinky. I'm just surprised they didn't break for the weekend and hope that he felt better by Monday.

KCL or PASA said the other day when the Judge speaks, everyone listens. I think that just proved true! And if ALV hadn't spoken to Samantha, she wouldn't need to be back.

I don't know, but I don't think somebody would be excused from jury service in the middle of a trial unless there was a legitimate reason. I would think the court would even ask for physician verification to be certain the illness isn't something that can be resolved within a day or so. I hope juror #11 isn't seriously ill in the long run.

Hopefully the illness #11 has isn't contagious. Would hate to see more of these seemingly intelligent jurors go. A 2 day weekend break helps though (if it is contagious).
