Wilmot asked for a break. Her mind went completely blank. She said

"Alright Miss LV. The question that I asked you was..... (5 sec pause) um (giggle) talking about (5 sec pause) lost it (or something similar to that) break. Judge S then called the break.

ALV and the court reporter both have puzzled looks on their faces

Watching wilmott in action, makes me think that when the verdict is handed down shell need a straight jacket.:floorlaugh:

She's coming off as angry at the jury. She's not that good at this.

For the record, as someone who has reviewed and researched countless such motions over the last 10+ years, I haven't seen anything yet that would raise a cognizable claim of "ineffective assistance of counsel."
Glad to hear that . . . but, if these two are . . . brrrr, now it's just scay.

My first thought was why doesn't Nurmi step in a end this re-direct of the witness since it is obvious that the longer she remains on the stand, the worse it is getting.

Maybe Nurmi wants Wilmott to crash and burn...:great:

I think Nurmi has "checked out", ALV is JW's territory, he wants nothing to do with her lol

ya know, I was just thinking..

my husband had a t shirt made for me last yr..

At one point the Judge really rolled her eyes at ALV! Funny!

snark o rama

you just made me spit chicken club sandwich all over my keyboard.

FCA is probably at home hoping JA gets away with it so she will have a friend.

  • #1,454
Ok so since it is recess I have a question for you....

Who is crazier JA or FCA?

I personally like FCA's imaginary friends better than JA imaginary abuse. Do you think FCA is at home listening to these lies going this girl is crazy... or do you think she is like I would have stuck with the ninjas myself.

Lol. Then during opening statements they could of blamed Napoleon the dog.

Did she fa real ask for a 10 min break because she lost her dang mind?

uh huh.....

That's ok. She will get a pep talk from her bff (Jodi) and they will both come back smirking....

:great:

Ok question for the board. Hypothetically If someone is dating a woman and she has a sweet soft spoken voice and she sounds like a young girl and the man tells her you sound like a 12 yr. old girl. does that make them a pedophile?... sounds like ALV is saying if you suggest something like that its abnormal and you are.

Imma be real honest here. Your hypothetical, absolutely not. But if you are a grown up male, and you use the words orgasm and 12 yr old in the same sentence in the setting of a sexual act, I'm gone before you've opened your eyes. I understand that what is between 2 consenting adults is fair game, but if that is your game (and I don't care if it was her game or his), you are playing with psychological fire.

Because we are in recess (again)..i just heard some dense attorney on HLN talking..

I would like to know if this jury knows that this is a MURDER 1 - DP trial?????

Stupid question? :blushing:

  • #1,458
Juan doesn't really need to ask any questions, he should just stand up and thank the jury for their questions.

I second that contemporaniusly.:rocker:

With all that we have seen and heard - I don't believe Wilmott forgot her train of thought. I think it's her attempting to humanize herself to the jury. It's all part of the plan. Nothing from them is coincidence or accidental.

No, that was real. It was way too humiliating and uncomfortable to be manufactured.

I don't like this because I don't want JA to come back and appeal based on lack of defense attorney. We need Wilmont and Nurmi to fight for her. Her lies are so stupid IMO and the jury see's the facts and the truth

Not long ago I posted a link that discussed the standard for an ineffectiveness of counsel claim. The bar is so low that it actually indicates how much of your trial your attorney can nap through before it's considered problematic. No. There's not going to be any such claim here. JA has been more than adequately represented. In fact, given the outright lies and manipulation by her DT, I'd say she's been over represented.
