Here's the thing-- the defense could not get a real expert to testify in this case; someone with the education, integrity and knowledge. So Alyce was the only person they could find and they ran with it. Perhaps they didn't realize how really bad she is as an expert but it didn't matter because she is all they have. Additionally, they only allowed her to see what they wanted her to see so she could testify the way they wanted her to testify. she is being sacrificed at the alter of the murdering creature.

She probably came off very confident and credible in private meetings. Frankly, she would come off that way on the stand if she weren't arguing against the facts of the case.

Well I want to see someone lose it before this trial is over. The list of perspective candidates seems to only grow with each DT witness. After the episode today though, the safe money is on Wilmott. It's always the ones that seem the most normal.

wilmott was practically speaking in tongues today. she's right on the edge, i think. she needs the weekend REAL bad.

You know, poor Alyce is so used to pulling "Domestic Violence" like a gun that she has grown accustomed to leaving all the details about what it really means to others. That's the only way I can explain her constant generalizing. I mean, she utters that phrase so many times, and so inappropriately in response to questions, that you just can't take her seriously at all. I think she's just used to people being afraid to challenge her once she says it -- so the devil with the details.

I wonder if she didn't realize how over her head she was, just being a domestic violence expert. She seems to think that is a good excuse for not knowing anything else. A domestic violence expert is of no use for JA since there was no domestic violence committed except by her.

Is Samantha the family representative? I mean does the Alexander family have someone who speaks on behalf of them?

She is such a strong person, you don't know what you can deal with until you have to but I really don't think I would be as strong as this family.
