trial day 46: the defense continues its case in chief #138

awww man, if he was truly ill and they were almost done for the day why didn't they just recess? Imagine putting all your life on hold for months and then it's over in the blink of an eye because you're sick.

Plus if he's sick, what if the other jurors get sick until there's no one left? I think they should have just recessed unless it's something serious like a heart attack or along those lines....

11.Poquito-Little Mexican guy (maybe 5'3) with long graduated pony tail, lots of facial hair and piercings.

I have been jury coordinator for death penalty cases. I feel sick for the jurors dismissed. I had to sit with alternates while the selected jury deliberated. These jurors have given so much of their time and come to really focus on a case. When they are dismissed, they are almost lost. They have had to consider weighty matters and, now, will be denied deliberations. Deliberations with other jurors is a very healing thing for them to finally talk out everything they witnessed. My heart goes out to juror #11.

Travis's sister is crying. My heart hurts for her. I cannot even imagine how hard this trial has been on them. And yet they are here every day. Without fail. Troupers, every one.

I certainly hope not! The death penalty is cruel and should be outlawed. What JA did is horrible, but life in prison is the correct punishment. I'm glad to know there's the option for the lesser sentence.

Not aimed at you at all, but some of the posts here cheering on the death penalty make me absolutely horrified.

It is not nearly as cruel as what JA did to her defenseless victim.

She should get death because she deserves death and nothing less.

And imo she just may get it too.
