I have been jury coordinator for death penalty cases. I feel sick for the jurors dismissed. I had to sit with alternates while the selected jury deliberated. These jurors have given so much of their time and come to really focus on a case. When they are dismissed, they are almost lost. They have had to consider weighty matters and, now, will be denied deliberations. Deliberations with other jurors is a very healing thing for them to finally talk out everything they witnessed. My heart goes out to juror #11.

JM is so good at taking cues from the witness, it's scary. As soon as ALV said that she had represented male victims in criminal trials "one or two times", he knew that that was something he needed to investigate.

It's one thing to know that you've done something inconsequential but not remember specifics, but her career has been all about defending battered women. Being on the other side of that gender equation and defending a male victim in court would be an event that would clearly be memorable.

If someone asked a heterosexual male if they had ever had sex in a car, they might give a vague answer, but if they were asked if they had ever had sex with another man, a response of "one or two times" would clearly be evasive.

Juror No. 11

She is a married, white female in her 30s. She takes a lot of notes. She does not look at Arias during testimony. She tends to look straight ahead or down at her notes.
