The real reason why ALV refuses to say "yes" or "no"
Takes 1 second to say "Yes", that earns her $.08 in revenue for her business
But if she asks for the question to be repeated, looks at the defense, then the jury, then states that she doesnt really understand what JM is looking for... then preaches for a while she can earn much more. Its taken several minutes to get an answer out of this lady and she earns $5.00 per minute. She should not have had to testify for so long but she is stalling so much.

She did seem awfully concerned about her retirement funds ...didn't she?

The judge was speaking to Wong. ALV is not coming back with an attorney.

I speculated that JudgeSS may have been alluding to ALV returning with legal representation when during the scheduling for Tuesday discussion she started saying one thing then stopped mid word and said to ALV "you will have made preparations" in regard to when she returns next week.

That JC just said he didn't look ill, so now I don't know. Sisters upset, doesn't look good, that jury specialist for DT in their yesterday.
Wonder if the Judge told the jury to expect the trial to go way further into May or June even? That would make me "sick".

IIRC the sisters were really upset during the time that Juan was asking ALV about Travis being the perpetrator versus JA being the perpetrator. I think this subject rightfully upsets them because ALV has no issue with saying Travis was a perpetrator despite the lack of evidence to prove he abused JA AND all the evidence that proves JA was the perpetrator. I think when Juan was on cross with ALV a few days ago and first got her saying Travis was the perpetrator the sisters also got very upset. This is legitimately a hotspot for them.

There was this one motion AND the issue of public harrassment is one of the issues.
Attaching (have a feeling JA wrote the first page due to absurd pretentiousness)

The grammar, punctuation, and spelling are atrocious! It should be denied on those facts alone.

In any of the prolonged in-chambers sessions earlier in the week, if ALV complained to Judge Stephens about the cyber-lynchers or Juan's aggressive style sending her to the hospital with palpitations, as has been reported, she better have the hospital records to prove it in hand. It did seem like JM was less confrontational with her after those meetings.

ALV made a choice to testify. She chose to be combative. She can't blame others' for how they respond to her choices. You can only control so much!

If she is now complaining, too bad! "If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen."

It reminds me of the defendant's way of thinking...."He was mean to me, not fair, so I killed him, not my fault, everyone else is to blame."

NOPE. not a rumor. It was a real motion.

From the motion:

Note should also be made of the fact that the conduct described above has ramifications that effect the ability of Ms. Arias to present her defense as the public response to this unprofessional conduct has involved berating witnesses via e-mail, telephone and in various internet forums. Said action has not only caused personal distress to these witnesses but has made it difficult for them to provide effective testimony for Ms. Arias....

The bolded portion was about ALV.

Who would do something like this?:furious::furious:

:seeya: I heard it as Ms. Wong, who will be testifying on Monday (for reasons we don't quite know yet..) has an attorney that will be present. Not Alyce

I remember when Numbri requested her to testify, it was the same day the JC took the stand. I believe he will questions her, who saw JM sign the cane, take photos etc. Its just a guess.

She probably as dry eyes, and rolls them up to wet them. I do that all the time. That's what I first thought when I saw that. She was 'clearing' her eyes to read again.

I do the same thing, so it's totally possible. I have to do it all the time with my contacts in or they annoy me.

On the other hand it could have also just looked the way it did to us due to the camera angle.

What??? Jodi is certainly NOT tweeting and writing negative things about JM. This cannot be right. I heard from an "expert" witness that Jodi has very low self esteem and has trouble asserting herself. I also heard that she would never write anything negative, because of the "Law of Attraction." :deal:

You must be mistaken.

YOU are mistaken.
She has been cured - by books.

I wonder if that's why those certain tweets were just deleted?

I am happy that the killer is currently tweeting. that takes the wind out of Nurmi's sails, imo.

I am pretty sure that someone has a copy of them....plus it was discussed on NG last night via DB

I didn't hear the Judge say anything to ALV about her schedule or tell her not to concern her with her personal issues. Where is that?

After the jury leaves for the day.

Thanks for posting!

For those who missed it, this was earlier today when a Juror question asked how many times ALV had testified for men in criminal cases. Alyce adopted the pose in the pic, counting on her fingers, until she finally reached the grand total of TWO cases.

Later, Juan impeached her. She may or may not have written a report that was submitted in ONE Criminal Case (in the last 29 years), but did not testify as she wasn't called to do so. :great:

I wonder if she's going to be questioned about whether she committed perjury or contempt while she was on the stand....?

Aren't trial witnesses supposed to refrain from looking at social media and news about the case while they can be called to testify? I thought that's how the defense was able to have the Hughes' removed from coming to court, because they were possible witnesses?

I don't think she is particularly cyber-oriented. Probably received notifications of bad reviews. And, just knowing the whackos out there, I am certain she received messages at her business, her business phone, and even possibly her home phone. Rational people, like those of us on here, don't do those things (I HOPE). But, there are those out there that will go to no end if they feel justified. I agree that ALV stepped into the spotlight willingly and had to expect some backlash, but some people get out of control and take it to another level.

Also, I believe her when she says that she didn't watch the other testimony. I applaud her for that, but that also explains why she has no clue what is going on. This case would look a lot different on paper - without being able to talk to TA's family and not seeing any testimony. It is Juan's rare and genius ability to fact find that has turned this case, IMO.

I am not justifying her testimony - only saying that some people can truly harass someone and it can be a very scary experience.

From what the judge said, cryptically, Alyce is ordered back to face the music, "on record."

So, either for her unprofessional (and illegal?) approach of Samantha, or for her CV misrepresentations/lies, which clearly were extremely detrimental to this defendant's case.

It would be poetic justice if the defendant lost whatever chance she had for life because her expert witness lied on her behalf. Even so, this witness, who should at least pretend to be impartial, must be be held accountable for lying to help a defendant who is for a fact guilty of slaughtering another human being.

Maybe on Tuesday.

Why no court this evening? :furious:

I believe the judge said the other day it was just supposed to be a 3 hour session today. Probably to try and finish with ALV.

What is the deal with Ms Wong that she would have to have an attorney?

I don't know but it worries me. She looked unhappy.
