Unless JA is willing to plea to first-degree murder and accept LWOP, I can't imagine the state would agree to a deal in the unlikely event of a mistrial. She offered to plea guilty to second degree murder in July 2011 to "spare the family" of all the unpleasant details that would come out about Travis and was turned down flat.

That was before they knew that Nurmi would be obsessing over anal sex and tootsie rolls and pop rocks for several days of trial. I don't think they were prepared for this kind of pornographic spectacle. There will be a plea bargain in the event mistrial.

I think even Mr Magoo could see that ALV has been lying throughout her testimony! I know when I was on jury duty part of our "instructions" were that if we felt a witness was dishonest on the stand we could "choose to disregard part or all of their testimony". If that is a standard jury instruction (is it?) wouldn't trying to impeach her testimony be redundant and just make the poor jury have to sit there even longer?
Any ideas anyone?

Impeachment of a witness happens when they are on the stand testifying. An attorney or prosecutor points out and questions the inconsistencies in their testimony and other statements they have made.

JM already impeached ALV.

I made everyone use hand sanitizer, she never touched the bare floor--only blankets, I had cloth diapers...THIRD BABY: hand me down baby clothes & toys, fewer pictures, etc. We love her just as much as the first, but I'm tired too!!!!:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
