I haven't had time to go through all the threads, but why did the family sit in the jury box yesterday instead of their seats? I did not understand that.

They adjusted the lights in the courtroom and brought the family, along with JA and Wilmott at first, to the jury box in order to be able to view the close up of Travis's eye.

Apparently so they could see the picture better. I was a little lost on that too. I didn't get why they just couldn't put it on the monitor like every other picture. Apparently the "expert" had his own screen for viewing. I thought it was weird.

She did say she was crouched down.

As Beth Karas pointed out.
Travis is SEATED in the shower in this photo - Exhibit 159.
Travis' eye level is at the camera from a SEATED position.

Jodi could NOT have been STANDING with the camera at chest level -- if she was standing -- Travis would have been LOOKING UP at her and the camera. She is definitely crouching down at his eye level when that photo was taken.

Eye guy got it all WRONG! No way was Jodi standing when that photo was taken.

During the Daubert Hearing yesterday, they only showed Exhibit 159 of Travis' FACE -- they did not show that he was SEATED in the shower.

And .... the worst photo showing JODI's FOOT and bottom part of her pants leg in the shower with Travis' blood dripped shoulder -- is much worse than the eye reflection photo. SHE was in the photo, in the shower, next to Travis' deceased body in that evidence photo. No need to try to see Jodi in the reflection off Travis' eye.

ThinkTank: :seeya: Nice to see you. In the photo showing Jodi's foot next to Travis, she was in the hallway closest to the bedroom where he apparently bled out. There are no pictures of her in the shower stall with him.

I think it was done to avoid spending the next two weeks on nonsense. Introducing his testimony would have meant a day just breaking down his method for measuring light differentials, Nurmi was talking about taking the jury to Nurmeister's work place so they could view the image with the technology he had there, and then there is cross and redirect....I think in the end Juan said it wasn't worth that kind of energy over an something irrelevant anyway, so he just said, let's just concede the point.

The resulting decision/agreement only came about because the judge allowed it in. JM position was that it not be allowed. For me this is another ruling or action by this judge that I disagree with and includes the ongoing daily activity in the court room.

Morning everyone, I can only watch the last third or so once I get home....thanks to everyone for keeping me up-to-date until then (can't live stream at work).

I think the defense will rest today. Looking forward to rebuttal witnesses and seeing what the deal is with ALV returning.

Congrats on the new job Linda! That's fabulous

It has been mentioned that u stream now works again for Android phones as of yesterday. I just saw that last night so I will try today.

The judge told her Monday or Tuesday, it was up to her. Looks like Tuesday it is. ;)

Unless she refused to return and called it in with her attorney from California. The judge did say she would not have to return if it were resolved. It will be interesting if JSS says something to the jury today or just lets it drop.

Is a photo like a mirror image? They keep saying Left eye, though in the photo its the Right eye

The eye reflection photo does not mean a hill of beans to me. Anybody can make out "something". I think it is pretty shallow that the DT pulling that stunt. But in a death penalty case....a DT will pull many motions and string out the smallest thing.....so in a way-this was expected of them. Of course...................... :moo:

Nurmi would have taken two or three days to go over this picture. JM has rebuttal witnesses starting today. In the grand scheme of things the picture means nothing. More likely than not Jodi had the weapons with her at the time the picture was taken just not visible because of the distortion. It's not a clear picture so why have a presentation on something that means nothing. What JM will show in rebuttal out weighs this picture IMO.

4) if you have a problem with a post use the ALERT BUTTON (do not respond)

I was wondering what that button was for! Should have hovered. :blushing:

I believe Wilmott and Nurmi actually feel sorry for Jodi. Not to what she has done but for who she really is. I have thought in the past that Wilmott and Jodi dressing alike was a way they were using to humanize Jodi. Now I think what really may be going on is it keeps Jodi in line, keeps her from going off the deep end. I have seen Wilmott, at times, talking to Jodi when Jodi looks as if she's about to come out of her seat. That takes a special attorney to be able to do that.

Willmott has had to wear two hats - attorney and minder. Nurmi can barely manage one.

Thats confused me, the only way it would be that his left eye to us is actually his right is if it was a selfie I think? Ive just tried both and taking a normal photo, left is left but with a selfie left is right.

Does that make sense, I think I am confusing myself

I have a different view. I don't believe Jodi is capable of a meltdown in court. She may show a bit of anger when pronounced guilty but she knows she can appeal. I don't believe she has it in her to be emotional. When she killed Travis, I do not believe there were any emotions or passion at play. I believe she premeditated the whole murder, planned the details, thought she was justified and was methodical about it. Then when she left him there what did she do? She called his phone and left a voicemail making it sound as if everything was perfectly fine in her world. Because in her mind, everything was fine. He was gone. I can see her driving down the highway, smiling to herself, thinking she had just pulled off the perfect murder. When she rented that car a few weeks later, bought a gun and two knives, I truly believe she was planning to kill the Hughes and maybe Mimi. There is no sadness, no remorse. If the defense team feels anything, it should be relief that their nightmare is soon over.

I still don't understand why they would want to be sitting in the jury box at all. They could see from monitors . I was so furious I was screaming downstairs in web sleuth chat room when I saw them up there.

Then again, I must trust that the prosecutor told them what was about to happen and they chose to do so.

But it just broke me apart seeing them watch his face for that long. it was like Travis was crying out to them!

by the way, if anybody wants to come join in the chat room look on the first post on this thread and join us today.

Well I saw homer simpson in the one he drew on so take that for what its worth :floorlaugh:

Like i said before juan would not have stipulated if it was that important in the grand scheme of things.

She seemed too shocked to see the photos when Flores showed them. She was not familiar with them.

There's no end to the :dramaqueen:'s tomfoolery.

She continues to hoodwink many.

We know that she reviewed and deleted the photos at Travis's house. Even the Defense doesn't dispute this.

But she wasn't familiar with the images that she reviewed and deleted?

Can't get there from here...

The fact that they seated it so close to them made me furious!

I couldn't have sat there, god knows how I would have reacted
