This witness is so professional and speaks so well. So refreshing. She is awesome.

I sooo agree... How refreshing it is to listen to a witness who presents facts...

Without creating a feeling in us that we are being bamboozled...

I imagine the Jurors must feel similarly...

:D

Thanks. Did Dr Samuels take over from her or was he in addition to her?

The defense ended up with ALV to replace Dr. Karp. Samuels hung on.

I LOVE the way Arias looks while this testimony is going on.

Totally "avoiding" what is being said about her. With her "raised" eyelids/brow".

Dear Dr. Demarte

Can I just say..............

Of all the witnesses I have listened to over the years - right now she is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE EVER!

I think jodi is even trying to practice her startle response! LOL

Wow, Mike likes her. I have never seen him interact with a witness before. Both smiling.

Like with DB?
Exactly. And like my own likely psychopathic ex, she remained friends with her ex's - almost keeping them on the back burner, to use them again and again as she deemed fit. Unless someone leaves them - then they tend to get downright scary and dangerous.

I think Juan could not get his question out to her,she was right about the fight & flight during the killing,,not after

  • #1,412
I hope on cross JW asks her how much she was paid! Whatever it was, I think she deserves more!

Dr. DeMarte also did not spend anywhere near the number of hours that the DT's "experts" spent with JA. She is professional, did her job, conducted an appropriate evaluation of her client, and submitted a report. No need to offer apologies, provide gifts to the defendant, or prolong the relationship. Over, and out.

Since people with this disorder normally have symptoms that depressed people do, such as general loss of interest, feelings of hopelessness and crying, this disorder is also sometimes known as situational depression

Doesn't situation depression tend to go away when the cause ends? But PTSD can last longer after the event. I would have thought the two were different, but I don't really know.

I want to call Dr. Janeen D "Swiffer" because she is wiping the floor clean with her testimony!!

Has Alyce made an appearance today?

Negative. I didn't expect her to. I believe she was done yesterday! In the closed hearing. :twocents:

Are they on break again?

Did they ever find out who broke into her house and stole her computer?

  • #1,418
Is this just me or....

Part one - where Juan is still talking at the bench and involved in the discussion
Part two - where JW is whining not winning. JM shifts to an angle. He's got a case to win.

Nurmi finally in the game.

I thought he was as riveted as we were. I didn't even see him write anything on his pad for a LONG time.

Overruled.

Yah!

K

He was thinking... If only we had more pennies in our kettle we could have bought one of those fancy intelligent sounding experts too!
