Am I incorrect to be a little surprised that the diagnosis was just "Borderline Personality Disorder"? I thought it would be a worse diagnosis like Bipolar or some Phsychosis or maybe I just dont understand how serious Borderline Personality Disorder is?

Jodi gives borderlines a bad name. IMO. It's an attempt to place psychopathy into dsm criteria ...that's my opinion....and I'm sticking with it.

LOL and the Director of the Agency!

Salem

Since she knew in advance that this DR was going to testify, shouldn't JW have reviewed her CV beforehand. Couldn't an experienced attorny come up with some general questions weeks ago for this witness, not even hearing her testimony? Besides, did JW have NO idea what a competent DR was likely to say about JA?

I wondered about this earlier since Wilmott seems totally unprepared.

no folksy anecdotes? Finally, someone who makes sense. I was almost hysterical watching JW's hyperactive inquisition of a seemingly unflappable, educated, articulate professional woman. Maybe DrD can treat JW?

And Juan, so efficient, so cognizant of the jury's time and interest and JW shows her cluelessness by spending the entire remainder of the day trying to attack this woman's impeccable cv. I've never seen anyone with worse trial skills in terms of capturing her audience.

I swear she is going to completely alienate the jury who I'm sure sees nothing wrong with this witness who is undeserving of the snark and downright mean girlness.

OMG hahaha she is no ALV or Samuels JW. Go sit down and save yourself further humiliation.

Should-a and could-have.
But JW looks very unprepared.

I LOVE DR. DEMARTE!!!!

Poor JW...she's going in silly circles! This witness is honest, forthright, brilliant, and actually has an extensive (current) education as well as solid experience.

No "rap session" with rust colored shag carpet and "conscience raising bra burnings" that we endured with ALV.

Bring it, JW. You know what time it is!

Thats not Necessarily true. Young children also can dissociate, it's the minds way of protecting itself.

I didn't post everything that the witness said about this in her testimony. She did mention that children who are regularly abused develop dissociation as a coping mechanism. It becomes a skill that is learned over time.

I'm guessing Willmott was just stalling because she wasn't prepared yet for substantive cross examination.

BBM: Do you think tomorrow will be any different? :floorlaugh:

Bipolar and Borderline cannot be compared as "better" or "worse". BP is a mood disorder and BPD is a personality disorder and psychosis is an entirely different animal.

As a legitimate question, why would an attorney on either side, attack a CV that is lacking unimportant events not relevent to their expertise? Isn't the risk greater than the reward? Unless it's crucial to her evaluation why the knit picking? Isn't modesty more appealing to a jury then someone who pads their CV with irrelevent information? Didn't Wilmott just prove more professionalism on her part as to staying focused on the crucial elements when forming her CV?

I feel bad for Wilmott, she literally has no where to go to question this witness. Anything she does now only further destroys the defense.

Yeah and as a Bi Polar.... I do not tend to get stabby. Just mad.

JW was TRYING to do what Juan does. But he does not ask any questions that he does not already KNOW the answers to. He does not go on dangerous fishing expeditions like JW just did.

When Juan asked ALV about her KeyNote Speech, he pulled out the actual pamphlet from the conference, outlining the speaking schedule. He had proof to put on the overhead projector.

But Wilmott tried to do the same to this witness, by saying 'snarkily', why did you leave this place after 3 months, and that place after 2 months. Then it turns out that she went to BETTER JOBS with each move. hahahaha...

JW better not watch this cross back on video or she will have nightmares.

This afternoon was the first time I've ever observed the death-stare from JA. She really doesn't like Dr. DeMarte.

Speaking of the death stare:

I missed some testimony.

We're hear more about the My 26th *email* and how that makes Jodi a "battered woman".
We'll also hear more about Dr Karp. Willmot can't let that go unchallenged.

Yeah that was not only entertaining but amusing too! JW could only pretend to write it down as if it mattered!

Pathetic.

I must have nodded off during that part, I thought she gave a lecture to the staff at a medical school.

I'm a little behind time-wise. JW looks like she's asking questions about evaluation testing, but doesn't know what the test names mean. If she's attempting to discredit JDM, she's not well prepared for it at all.

  • #2,580
Oh for gods sake.. I update a CV for a renowned surgeon. If I listed EVERY lecture it would be 70 pages. WE put the meat of it in there and we don't PAD it with fluff like other Witnesses.

Why...whatever "other" witnesses do you mean?" *bats eyelashes innocently*
