In all seriousness, I don't think it would be OK legally to sedate her.--she has to be able to assist in her own defense. Unless it was medically imperative? Which I doubt. What I see is all the fight out of her. For the moment. Like my state's weather, I expect that to turn any minute now.
Based on attending parts of the Brian Mitchell trial (kidnapper of Elizabeth Smart) I don't beleive "assisting in the defense" is a minute-by-minute thing. He was often removed from the courtroom.
I think "capeable of assisting in defense" is determined pre-trial and unless there's some obvious psychotic break, it stands, regardless of defendant's day-to-day weird and inappropriate behavior.
