trial day 49: REBUTTAL; #149

Casey made the obviously smarter choice of not testifying and not giving as many statements to the police, but I wonder how she would have done if she would have been cross examined.

She'd still be in jail, IMO.

I was curious how many juror questions were in the basket as compared to the 159 for ALV, so I did a Twitter search, and it looks like only TWO(!) have been turned in so far? Does that sound about right?

If so, I'd say that the jury as a whole is following along and understanding this witness's answers and explanations.

I love this witness!!

I think you're right, kaRN. Over the past few days, Jodi looks very pale, not rested, and is losing weight. She seems to be preoccupied and in her own little world - completely oblivious to what is going on around her. She doesn't seem to care that she is on trial for brutally killing Travis and that her eventual fate could be the DP. Some of her behaviors lately have been beyond bizarre, but the DT seems to overlook how their client comes across in the courtroom. :moo:

I'm convinced they're already preoccupied with the penalty phase and thinking mitigation.

Summary:

Defense is still Crossing Dr.D and trying to impeach her education and experience. They are still on cross after lunch. Arias is wearing a green shirt in court today and does not look well and has been spotted making strange faces at times. Some members noted that she did not stand for the jury at the noon recess until someone ran over and reminded her.

What was the date of JA's last migraine absence? I believe it was nearly a month ago...maybe her migraine's are associated with her menstrual cycle. If that's the case, she sure should know when to start taking her Imitrex preventatively.

I also like her composure...no twitching or shifting, and her hands rest quietly.

There may be more than one question on each sheet though but the signs are still good!

SC, have you heard any reports as to whether the jury has submitted questions today? Based on my info (KCL) I don't believe they submitted any yesterday. TIA
I saw on twitter this morning from those in the courtroom that there are few.

March 27th.

Whew! Just got caught up here.... JW hasn't changed her approach at all...I feel badly, it's like having a hunk of toilet paper hanging on the bottom of your heel, and no one tells you...just lets you wander around the cocktail party....all sophisticated and stuff....why doesn't Nurmi give her a lil heads up that this isn't quite going as well as she might think......
LOL Thanks for the laugh - good analogy

The defense lawyer does not appear to have done her homework. She seems to be asking questions that don't make sense.

I also like her composure...no twitching or shifting, and her hands rest quietly.

I like how she can answer the friggin questions...yes..no...

So refreshing!

if nurmi is any kind of pal at all, he needs to tell her to wrap it up. make whatever major points she needs to make, keep it short and sit down. seriously, she HAS to be done soon, right?

EXCEPT he doesn't know when to wrap it up either....remember ja?????

I'm still having a hard time believing Jodi is above average. It's shocking to me for someone that can't keep her lies straight. Casey was sooooo much smarter.

I actually think that FCA was a more convincing liar and better actress.

JA has the higher IQ. I'm sure of it.

JA is also much more bloodthirsty.

No evidence that she was researching chlorophyll, chloroform or duct tape.

JA's weapons of choice did not involve adhesive. And they had the added benefit of sating her bloodlust.

BBM Nurmi is in a fog :floorlaugh:

Wow, I just watched the end again and everyone is right, she is so on something it isn't even funny. She is completely out of it.

:seeya: Wouldn't ya just luv to see last night's :jail: records ?

:waitasec: Just wondering IF -- IF there were some problems ... KWIM ?

:moo:
