I zoned out for a bit...actually had to work.

Did JW finish with this witness?

I thought he testified that she had never been alone with his child?
Every time I respond to something JA SAID.. I forget to say IF she wasn't lying. I'm still not sure, of all she said or wrote, what can be believed.

I don't know why JW is being unusually rude to the witness.

It isn't getting you any points.

JMHO
fran

That snotty tone and Heh ....chuckle ...sigh when she doesn't get the answer she wanted. It's grating on my nerves. Dr D cool as a cucumber.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few...I had to run to the kitchen and get my Grannies big ole Iron Skillet. I then began beating said Iron Skillet upon my frontal lobe in the hopes that I would then gaze upon the screen and NOT see or moreover HEAR Willmott STILL blathering on and on and on. UGH!

OMG, is it really standard to just read 3 or 4 words and say "right?" as if it's a question? What is this????

The attys have to have their interrogations in the form of questions -- It's like the difference between saying:

"Jack & Jill went up the hill."

or

"Jack & Jill went up the hill, right?"

I listened to the entire morning session while changing my sons room around. No watching just listening and I will tell you that the Good Dr comes out ahead.

Even where JW is trying to trip her up, she stands her ground as a competent clinician and expert.

I think that they may have been better off just trying to ask a few questions and let it slide. Dr DM has gotten in enough, answering questions that I think this made it worse not better.

i know right? i love how she quickly adds things in that show JW is getting her to admit to something in a totally skewed way... like the blood on the hands. then jenny moves on quickly to the next point because she can't argue back lol.

I bet the judge comes back and just releases the jury for lunch :(

at this point I don't even think Clancy was "drunk"----that's why I'm using "" :drumroll:

She said on NG that she was tipsy but NOT drunk. Big difference.

No coloring for Jodi today. Things are getting serious here. Jodi shaking her head "No". Her eyes and mouth look different today, seems to be on a lot of medication.

I think JSS needs to find a dictionary to look up the word "promptly"

the problem with JW using Martinez style, is that it does not work with Dr. D. JW asks a question, Dr. D answers it as asked, and then JW says that's not what she asked and changes the question a little and the answer from DR. comes out only slightly and insignificantly different.

When JM asked ALV questions, she didn't answer them but went off on a ramble. Juan then had the right to say that she hadn't answered the question.

Makes a difference based on the witness you use that technique with.

Only saving grace I find in HLN is if I missed something during live trial I can watch for it during the neverending pause/play of HLN.. Or sometimes just like to watch for JAs looks etc.

But I tell you.. It's really hard to watch JVM, NG & Dr D try to act like trial is still going on when it's been recessed 2 or 3 hours earlier.. it's like GMAFB!!

I agree! The only thing I like is that I can PVR the day and at night skip past the endless commercial breaks and talking heads and get to see anything I have missed. Having 3 small kids I tend to miss big blocks of testimony, darn pesky little ones lol.

Did anyone else notice when JA was staring at Dr. D JA took her hands and ran them down her hair to smooth it???? It was creepy! I didn't notice JA staring at the jury as they left like she usually does.

I'm no psych major but I read that hair smoothing or playing with hair is a pacifying technique (because my daughter does it). Often done in times of stress and anxiety.

I think Jodi is very stressed to see another young woman who clearly masters verbal skills far more adeptly than she does - and that's freaking her out. It brings out that insanely competitive side to see another woman outbest her in rivalry. And it drives her insane that in the case she has zero control over the situation and cannot attempt to seize control or intimidate DrD the way she normally would do other women.

That insane sense of frustration can be detected in this extreme display of self-pacifying techniques. Accompanied by the self-pacifying technique of lip-chewing. Anyone else noticed the abnormal frequency today at which Jodi keeps biting on her lips! That is a self-pacifying technique as well.

Jodi is FREAKING

How can JSS permit the cross of DD to be LONGER than the actual direct ????? JW is covering so many things that were not covered by JM ...
DT thinks if she keeps had it she can run the Dr's bill up and then accuse JM of overspending!

It sounds to me like she had confronted him about not doing/giving anything to her for Valentine's day and he'd explained that something was frustrating/angering him that day...Nothing in there to indicate how much she appreciated his remembering/thinking of her despite the troubles in his life!

moo

Makes you wonder about the Cinnabon tale. I wonder what he did to disappoint her that she made it up. Maybe he refused to pick her up at the airport?
