You know.. I was listening to Juan talk about Ninja story.. How she was able to get away from them and get out of the house.. But she could not run from a wet travis???

I hope he brings that up...

Yes, that is a knotty one.

Let's see...professionally trained assassins bearing razor sharp knives (presumably wakizashis, given her histrionic bent) with catlike reflexes and nerves of steel...naturally she could evade them, being "that girl from California!" Lumbering Travis, who had the speed of an inebriated snail given the tale she spun of the "chase" from the bathroom to the closet (an astonishingly vast distance, comparable to the distance from here to the moon)was somehow able to spring like a cheetah from the shower, pounce upon his prey, and hurl it like a broken rag doll to the earth, all within a second...but then his speed left him as his superpowers faded and his snail alter ego returned, so as to give poor Jodi sufficient time to recover her breath, roll to the right, and begin the long trek to the nearest celestial body.

Yesterday Dr. DeMarte discussed JA's work history and it came out that JA claimed she had been a "caretaker of a child" from November 2007 to January 2008. This would have been while she was in Mesa. I do not remember hearing anything about this before. Does anyone know anything more about this?

That was the best example of JW's lack of knowledge!!

Was this at the very end of JW final cross of Dr. D?

I have just got to the point where JW is starting the re-cross or whatever it is called, after jury questions, after Juan.

I am so sick of her voice, and her snippy attitude and condescension and really just everything about her, that I am not sure it is worth the aggravation to watch to the end.

I did love how Juan just had one question for her after the jury questions. I wondered what was going to happen when she said she needed a minute to think and Judge S just said sustained and on to the next question.

Jennifer did that repeatedly during her cross of Dr. D - if Jennifer didn't like the answer, she quickly spoke over her or immediately changed the subject - it was so obvious. Jennifer was like a runaway train, racing down the tracks to her own destination, not stopping for anything along the way, and it clearly showed her lack of knowledge on the subject of psychological testing and resulting scores.

Fully agree re JW; in her favor, at least she's lost the deer-in-the-headlghts stare.

Guess I'm old...or stupid. What is this? I guess I should google but I'm in a fawg this a.m.

Just a slang term meaning 'crazy', I think. I have a Jewish friend who uses it under extreme provacation. :floorlaugh:

It is irrational. That is the point. Not all larger and stronger men will hurt smaller people. But the events were traumatic enough that I associate larger males with having the ability to harm smaller people in a terrible way. It is a part I have not worked through and may never. Its hard to relate and work through because the trauma(s) that cause the triggers are still vivid. For example, one of the abusive events, caused trauma not only in myself but siblings. It was a terrible event. I remember during it thinking if this is how I am going to die, please do not let my brothers and sisters see it, please don't let them be separated. I did not think about what was happening, I was thinking of my siblings, not myself. They saw what was happening, the blood and the humilitaion. It is more than just being hit. I stayed in a hospital for 6 days afterwards. Not once did I admit that my stepfather did that to me. I was so concerned with my siblings being in a place I could not protect them. Even though everyone knew what had happened. You do not get a broken arm, broken ribs, bruises on your neck and a gash on your head that gets 7 stitches by falling down the stairs because you are a clutz.

I have a long way to go, but I have certainly learned that not everyone is like my parents. It takes a long time to put things in place.

K

Dear LORD. Sending warm comforting hugs. LOTS of hugs.

Could Travis have realized the ring was gone and that JA had stole it and could be a reason he sent the long, "mean" email. Possibly she agreed to return it to him which is why he let her in June 4th?

So you would agree that you are not an expert on mashugana behavior. Right? :floorlaugh:

I take the term "expert" seriously, so i would only say that I have a wide range of experience with mashugana behavior, personally and professionally.

IMO... I think the DT is just playing a role. I believe that they know the truth, but they are just doing their jobs.

I think they invented the abuse for the self defense theory and that Nurmi inserted the pedophilia claim (that's his specialty) they just forgot to make it the reason (ya right) that Travis attacked her because she would out him.

I believe JA lied to them and said she had to defend herself THAT day and gave them most of the details of the killing.

After hearing JW slip up about details during the fog, I strongly believe that they know all details during the fog and applied the fog, where needed, for her defense.

I also think that they play very dirty ( hence DT) and they use lies, added changed and non existent journal entries, and blatant deceitful claims to try and discredit the state and its witnesses.

They play as dirty as they can as long as they continue to get away with it.

"Applied the Fog". Sort of like this?

Thoughts going out to people who have loved ones in the Boston area or who are there today. Yikes.

Here's what bothers me about the bear vs. tiger juror question. While it seems to be a genuine question about whether the basic facts of a source event of PTSD would affect its diagnosis, neither of those scenarios are analogous to the facts in this case. I would have been happier if the premise had been attacked by a bear and a tiger versus slaughtering a tiger that had once been a pet.

That was the only question that makes me feel uneasy.

Sorry if this has bn answered already.

It's "crazy" in Hebrew.

Well, I did not know what the word meant either. My low non-Einstein IQ
made me feel inferior until I looked it up. :floorlaugh:

the question with the animals attacking..i hope it was a smart 🤬🤬🤬 question ..i hope that jurior or others arent thinking travis ever attacked jodi.we need to get back to travis and the pre-med..was thinking do you think jm needed the doctor as a witness 2 things lends more credance to ja having any disorder..and if they believe that she has a disorder might they not feel sorry for her alittle and maybe no death penalty.

IMO I thought it was an intelligent question and DD's response was questionable with regards to it being different because a tiger and bear would smell different etc.

If by that you mean, "He's not falling for it and sees me for what I am," I'll have to agree heartily.

Remember in the sex tape Jodi telling Travis's that there wouldn't be a Mormon women kinky and freaky for him, leaving the impression (and all that baby sickening voice ) that she was everything he would want.

  • #1,255
Yes, she was just fishing with him, hoping that he would realize he had neglected to send a gift to his one true love. Surely, he would realize that at some point! Girl lives on a different plane of reality.

This (and other things) makes me really again wonder if most of this 'relationship' was all in JAs imagination.

I thought this was around the time they were supposedly (according to JA) 'official' (whatever that means).

I suspect TA never did consider JA his girlfriend at any point in their relationship. But I could be forgetting evidence that *he* thought she was his girlfriend. It certainly wasn't this particular Valentines, and I thought that was the timeframe JA claims they were 'official'.

Is there ANY inside information or really strong "indication of" how the Defense feels about their client Jodi?

Not just "us" saying I bet they can't wait to get rid of her :)

But any real info even a source close to them blah blah even if it's rumor.
Not for anything other than my curiosity. I am wondering if they just love this girl and Willmott thinks of her as a battered little sister and she hates Travis? Or is Willmott playing a role...

:seeya: I would be interested in knowing this as well because I am curious -- lol !

Now this is JMO, but I do think Willmott is "playing a role" ... I don't think she really likes her, but "tolerates" her because Wilmott IMO is enjoying the high profile attention she is receiving ... MOO !

I do not think Nurmi likes her at all ... there is very, very little interaction between Jodi and Nurmi ...

JMO !

For anyone interested in JA MMPI-2 "elevated" scores on the 10 Clinical scales. She was elevated on 7 of the 10 clinical scales.

I was most interested in the one she was the most elevated on and thought you might be too. Her T-score on the Psychopathic Deviate scale was a 105 (highest of all of her elevated scores) with 65 being the threshold for clinically significant. If you want to research the scales the developer of the test is Pearson.

Psychopathic Deviate (PD)- Hathaway & McKinley (1944). (50 items). High: Poor impulse control, disidentification with societal standards, authority conflicts, marital and family conflicts, inconsiderate, narcissistic, poor judgment, extroverted, self-confident, hostile, parasitic and externalizes blame. Low: Overly conventional and conforming, passive, trusting and non-competitive. Pd is a great characterlogical scale of narcissism, externalization of blame, exploitiveness, and hostility. The subscales for Pd are very important in understanding elevations in Pd. Elevations in Pd can be due to a hostile, exploitive and truly psychopathic mentality, or moderate elevations can be an extroverted normal going through a divorce, or a normal teenager. If Pd-O is greater than Pd, then the more pathological interpretations should be used. If Pd-S is higher than Pd, then the more benign interpretations should be used. It is helpful to also look at the content scales of anger, authority problems, family problems etc. to help understand elevations in Pd.

I know scales need to be seen globally as well as individually, yet I do not understand why this scale was not discussed in detail/ad naseum IMHO.

Where can we see the scales? Did someone screenshot them?

I think Dr D did discuss this symptomology, she just did not name the disorder, probably too prejudicial.

Sounds like a good theory. Wish we knew what was the reason for the long rant from Travis.

Jodi said twice to JW that ....its not in evidence, it's not in evidence
:floorlaugh:

And she was smiling iirc. I bet she imagines herself haunting the prison law library and becoming the go-to legal authority there.
