Hummm? Good theory, but I think they could still have gone with the BWS to explain the overkill. I think they really wanted to pull off the self-defense. They were so pizzed that the plea deal didn't work, they wanted to teach JM "a thing or two." Now that they have seen just how tremendously they failed (post DeMarte) and no touchdown, they are going to try kicking it in. I think they will still fail tremendously.

Cause for a crime of passion to fit, you can't believe any of that.

One cannot drive 1000+ miles for it to be crime of passion. Crime of passion, as far as I know, is an "immediate reaction to an action" type thing.

Maybe a lawyer can explain it better for us?

If she really took a road trip then the defense should at least show some pictures she took during the trip. I don't think I see any or did I miss anything?

While we wait: Following Dr. DeMarte's testimony, does anyone think that Jodi's mother/family were relieved to finally have an explanation for their daughter's erratic behaviors? I couldn't help thinking that they probably always wondered what was wrong with Jodi and that they know now how disturbed she really is. :moo:

this is the crux of the defense case.. so imhoo they will continue to try to get anything and everything in. They have nothing else. I would rather see them try then have this end up on appeal. (although watching it is another entire issue):twocents:

OMG, if she is convicted and then wins a new trial through appeal, I will NOT be watching it. There is no way I can go through this again. Nope. Not a chance!

BBM~ Actually it does imo. The killing was so brutal and sloppy. To me that is rage killing which can theoretically equate to "crime of passion".

I am here . . . fingers got a break over the long weekend.

DH thinks I have tipped over and completely become psychotic in watching this trial. He keeps saying I don't even know these people - how on earth could I possibly bet interested in this whole thing? I haven't told him that I pseudo-transcribe for others but I don't think he is feeling the love for my obsession. I don't have anyone to talk to about the trial except my peeps here.
