Is everything still going well, sleuthers?

Oh, I'm sorry, let me rephrase. (:floorlaugh:) I meant to ask even if what they're asking regarding Jodi's testimony wasn't brought up at all by JM or the defense doing rebuttal? Can they ask about for example Jodi stalking Travis if neither JM or the defense brings it up today?

The jury can ask Deanna about things that were brought up previously in the trial--they are not limited to things that were brought up during rebuttal.

Kathielee said that to Vinnie. Which sobbing are you talking about - when the ME is on or from today?

Today. There was a close-up during the sobbing and her eyes looked so hollow. Scary. Maybe it can't be done yet since it is live streaming?

JA pretended to cry once Travis' friend took the stand. She continued to stare at him with the 'Please look at me so I can entice you with my everything' look. When that didn't work she fake cried but continued to look in his direction. I loved his stern demeanour.

Is that the same defense guy that just claimed on HLN that Jodi needed all that gas to get across the desert?

Yes, he's a fool.

No way can anyone determine if he was "addicted" to sex with Jodi. She offered it, and like most guys would, he accepted. He didn't make a mistake, he tried to tell her to get lost but she wouldn't listen. She was trying to impose her own "rules" on their seeing each other and lost it when he didn't comply. They weren't married, and he didn't owe her anything.

He told her he wanted her out of his life but he always let her back in. And I don't mean that literally although that could be argued. I am not trying to impugn on Travis' reputation at all when I state he was addicted to JA. He was sexually naive and when JA gave every part of her body to him he acted like many men would and he enjoyed it. He just didn't realize how absolutely evil she was until it was too late. Again, she is evil and Travis was too kind, and losing him makes us all less fortunate. I hate her.

If he is allowed, my bet is Nurmi is going to go after Deanna and ask her to go over every sexual interaction she ever had with Travis. Yuck. That just seems wrong.

But sex is important. Travis was addicted to sex with Jodi. His friends knew some of the craziness that Jodi did or said but he was ashamed to let them know he was actually still seeing her. Jodi and her web ensnared the "naive part" of Travis and in the end he died because of it. His mistake wasn't telling JA he never wanted to see her, his mistake was not being strong enough to follow through on that.

We do not know that. There are no sex messages to her from Travis that we have seen. The taped phone call reveals a few encounters. We really have no idea how often there were these encounters since they are not documented. He certainly didn't think sex was important enough to stay with Jodi. It appears from what witnesses are reporting Jodi was more often than not an unwelcome visitor Travis just could not get rid of without being rude. We have seen the best of what defense has which is nothing much and there is nothing showing he was addicted to sex (Jodi maybe). Travis was able to have relationships without it involving sexual encounters whereas Jodi's intimate relationships seemed to have involved a great deal of sex. Interestingly it was Jodi's sister that was dressed up in the Red Riding Costume for a party so that idea could have originated with Jodi. Jodi would like us to believe it was all Travis when it appears that Travis was not the one who routinely traveled hundreds of miles for a roll in the hay. jmo

The Jury NOW Knows That NURMI and JODI LIED TO THEM!!! Now they know they can't TRUST anything the DEFENSE TELLS THEM!!!!

I realize that there was no point to be made by questioning the Walmart witness as she spent a week looking for that particular SKU associated with the gas can and could find no transaction. They could have tried to make the point that mistakes happen...but IMO it wouldn't have worked and the Defense would have looked terrible. Either way it's a bust for them, because, in effect the Defense conceded that she never returned the gas can.

Fetched my own Kleenex. Check.
Rosary at the ready. Check.
Cricket settled in my lap. Check.
All set for you sweetie Deanna; thank you is not enough for your testimony thus far; all I can offer is:
hugs and love sent from me to you.
I think that covers it from my end; ready for the testimony after lunch break.

That same defense attorney said ' ALL Juan proved was that the gas can was not returned to THAT Walmart---but there are several in the area.'

Ummm...Mr Defense Attorney sir, the defendant SWORE under oath that she took it back to THAT specific Walmart. End.Of.Story. :liar:

The State is moving quick and everything is slowed down by the DT.

The dummy/no sku number question asked by the jury actually caught my attention: I don't know if it's true that there is a pro-JA juror or if that juror is paying extra attention to details. Before hearing this question, I don't know anything about dummy sku number.

Dummy skus are common. I worked retail through college and then spent lots of time with inventories in my post college career. Back in the late 80's/early 90's, we did use dummy skus often, but as tracking software got better, dummy skus were used less and less. By the time I resigned in the late 90's, even "dummy" skus has tracking info--meaning the first digit or two told what major line the item belonged to, the next digit or two told which family within that line, etc. I would think a major operation like walmart would be even more specific.

I think it was a good informed juror question.

Was this about a witness who testified today or is it someone who is coming up later in rebuttal? Is this what was being discussed in chambers this morning?

I dunno...I don't think Juan would've put her up there if that was a possibility.
