When Nurmi was questioning the latest witnesses is the first time I've felt really confident in the Pros case. There's always the chance the jury will process the evidence differently than I do. Sometimes I have to remind myself the jury will not deliberate on the same info I've been exposed to.

But, yesterday...... felt like the case was brought back to it's base points. Travis was a human being, foibles and all, who was brutally murdered. He has friends and a family who love him.

Does Jodi have personal access to the Internet in the jail library? I sometimes wonder if she ever sees WS posts. The posts are available on Google searches, so she wouldn't even have to be a forum member. It would be interesting to see if she tailored any of her testimony to social media.

She does not have internet access.

I wonder if this is why she wanted to be her own lawyer. That would give her access to a lot of different stuff....maybe the internet?

When KN was all proud of himself after being disgusting and vile with Deanna. The best part was when he was walking away with his 'well I guess your relationship with TA was different than JA' no further questions.....

I just thought, yes, yes it was, thank you for proving there is NO PATTERN for your self-defense theory.

This video from HLN shows a woman Jodi's size being able to drag a 180lb dummy.

http://www.hlntv.com/video/2013/03/22/jodi-arias-travis-alexander-drag-dummy

I'm only a bit taller than Jodi Ann, I weigh ten pounds less than she does according to her driver's license, I've got twenty-some years on her and I could do it. My DH (similar size and weight of TA) was kind enough to let me drag him along the hardwood wood floor from the living room, down the hallway, to the bathroom of our home to test it out. If I was in an adrenaline pumping tizzy after murdering someone I could do it even more easily.

I laughed at her "linebacker stance". This was supposed to be a man in a murderous rage, and she had a split-second to turn and point a gun at him. She was still able to remember that he got very low and then turned his head to the side, which only makes sense if you're trying to explain the position of the head wound. Why in the world would anyone who is trying to tackle someone look in another direction? For that matter, why would you tackle someone in a small area like a bathroom? You're likely to slam your own head against a shower, tile floor or toilet.

She is full of s*&% and just trying to match up with the evidence.

Nurmi is getting a lot of his 'facts' wrong yesterday. He should pay more attention than us, surely!

He thought Det. Michael Melendez was the one who testified about the video at 4:30 am on the 4th. That was the other forensic computer guy, his own witness. The one who had the dick pics, wasn't it?

He also kept getting the dates wrong about Deanna/TA relationship.

Believe it's a tactic to get her to agree to an incorrect fact. To try to catch her in a lie b/c they have nothing else.

Yes he did. Did you notice it stopped him in his tracks when he realized that he messed up the dates that Travis and Deanna moved to Arizona. He thought they weren't together at the time and Deanna moved to Arizona after Travis and her broke up... just like Jodi did. He thought he was gonna have a gotcha moment and fell on his face.

I thought the rebuttal case went very well yesterday...

Juan showed:
Travis didn't hide "Jodi"...he took her to expensive places where he treated her well and she obviously had a good time (and I secretly enjoyed the fact that she was distressed...probably realizing that she won't ever have sexy blonde hair again or stay in a room that doesn't have a disgusting toilet in the center)

Deanna was wonderful...she showed everyone that she was Travis's best friend to the final end! And it somehow felt good to hear that she knew people that meant so much to Travis...his family..that she had a history there that was based on good things...not bad. And did anyone else get the creepy crawlies when she said the word Costa Rica...I swear that JA had to have made up HER story about that place and her "lover" Victor Arias...

I am sorry that Deanna had to go through what she did with Nurmi, but I think she handled herself with grace and composure. And my heart actually broke for her when she read the email Travis sent to the Hughes...but I think it showed that he did care and felt bad for her. It was a very poignant moment, to me. Nurmi was his usual slobbery self...and Juan set him up perfectly...great job Juan!

The best for me however, was the computer guy and the juror's question about how many pictures were NOT deleted on the camera. That was a "In you face JW" home run!! I think I laughed for an hour after that one. Shows that the jury didn't buy all of Wilma's ptsd foggy fight or flight Hippacampus flooded bs.

Finally....Wal Mart and Tessero...you ladies represented y'all well!

Hope it's a good day today!!!:seeya:

Mark Eiglarsh said last night that Mr. Nurmi is taking a pounding in the Twitterverse for his rude and uncouth behavior in court when questioning Deanna. To that I say "Yay Twitterverse!!!"

But there is an option to 'delete all' so it's not like she would have had to do them one by one. 'Delete all' would have been quicker than selecting a few pictures to delete and doing them separately.

I really loved this juror question from yesterday. It proves that Jodi wasn't in a "fauxg" enough to not be able to flip through the pictures and only delete the ones that would be incriminating to her. IE: the sex and murder pictures that proved she was there.

Most of the juror questions have been really great. There are only a few that have given me pause. I'm hoping it's a juror really wanting clarification to prevent the DT from weaseling their way into any opening.

I'm confident of the prosecution case every time the jury asks questions. They are really smart and they listen so well. I have a very good vibe about this jury.

i am now curious about the phrase but am at a church-related medical facility working and i doubt it'd be a good idea to google that here!

I keep wondering why she didn't just take the SD card with her. She wouldn't have had to spend ANY time deleting anything. It would be beyond easy to get rid of it, too.
There are many things she could have done differently if she got a chance to correct her mistakes. She had just slaughtered Travis and was probably in the midst of an adrenaline rush. It's not like she had unlimited time in the house. Probably concerned that one or both of the roommates could come home. She's also not particularly smart/knowledgeable about what investigators could recover from the camera after she deleted the incriminating pictures and threw the camera in the wash. When you think about it, much of what she did in terms of planning, carrying out and covering up the murder was figured out pretty quickly by investigators. Thankfully.

I believe Lisa had an ex too who was jealous of TA and could be the one that slashed the tires. No police reports were made.

OK...so maybe it has been discussed/explained, but I missed it.

Why aren't the tire slashing incidents being brought up? Is it widely known that Arias did this but nothing was proven or filed with police?

To me, this is an extremely damning piece of crucial information. Drives home the stalking behavior and also shows how poor little, meek Jodi was adept at using knives.

Her mugshot pic bugs me. Who the heck smiles in their mugshot photo?

I guess she thought from this point on, she can charm her way through American Justice? NOT.

She said in the 48 hours interview that she was thinking "what would Travis do" and she pictured him smiling, so she flashed a smile. No end to her bs.

she tried that already and it didnt work

I think the computer guy said there wree 90+ pics, so she didn't have time to do that.

you can delete all of the photos faster than you can pick and choose and delete specific ones. That was already talked about before. So it took her longer to delete just some of them. moo

Man...........major "Computer Brain" last night!!!!! (It's a PTSD "thing", can't shut your mind off, urgh!)

JA's NARCISSISM was her Undoing!!!!!

Her over blown image of herself being a "Photographer" makes it IMPOSSIBLE for her to be near a camera without TOUCHING IT!!!!

If she hadn't taken the pics, no "deleted photos", no "scuffle" in the bathroom and down the hallway, no "palm print" in the hall, no "blood and DNA" to wash off the camera, she might never have been caught....but NOooooo, she had to pick up the shiny new camera because she is "the Photographer".

There is something about that laptop being accessed the last time on June 4th......JM made a point about asking Melendez about that yesterday, and JM doesn't just bring up something for nothing. Does it have anything to do with the 2nd computer forensics guy on the rebuttal witness list? And the DT's motion to preclude the state's rebuttal witnesses? And what if TA's seething email/texts were because JA had hacked into his BANK account and stole money? Does this have anything to do with the bank fraud gal, also on the rebuttal witness list? And did JA try to do it that one last time the laptop was accessed?

Questions, questions, questions!!!!!!! :banghead:
